Park hour changes and paid events

I know that the schedule Disney releases 180 days out is preliminary and hours are often adjusted later. But do they only add time (earlier opening/later closing) or do they also take hours away? Part of the reason I'm wondering is that they haven't announced the paid events yet for our dates, aside from the parties. I'm trying to make sure that they're unlikely to add an earlier close for something like a corporate event or DAH, which could influence which days we do which parks. Thanks!

I have never seen hours cut. I am pretty sure they book all that stuff more than 6 mo out. But I can’t say it never happens but I have never seen that happen.

It would be pretty rare/an anomaly to 'cut' hours already released. Possible, yes, just not common.

Usually when it comes to things like DAH, when they do release dates it either confirms the park closing time already on the books will stay the same or park closing will be moved later to coincide with the start of the DAH event (depends on what time the DAH event is on the day in question).

I’ve seen park hours extended and special events cancelled or added with very short notice, but I’ve never seen them shorten hours once they post them.

I would be pretty shocked to see DAH happening at MK during party season. But hey, I was also shocked when they offered EMM during Thanksgiving last year.
