Park Hopping Procedures

I've been reading up preparing for our visit. This is probably a dumb question, but...I'm trying to confirm the procedure for park hopping. I found a section here, "Ticket Prices" link to DLRP Magic says under "Using your Passport":

"Each day you use your ticket for the first time, a small hole will be punched in it to signify one day's usage, in addition to the resort's computer-controlled records system...If hand stamps are being offered at the exit and you wish to re-enter later, make sure you get a stamp!" But no details for hopping parks.

So, this doesn't work with your ticket at each park like WDW? If we want to go between the 2 parks several times in one day (we're ordering one day park hoppers so we plan to go back and forth several times) how will this work? We put the tickets in the turnstiles at the first park, then we get a hand-stamp on the way out...then what? Do we need the ticket again for the next park? Do we need another handstamp each time we leave a park? Thanks!

As long as you have the one day park hopper passes, rather than the 1 day 1 park pass, you will be able to hop between the parks to your hearts content. :) It works exactly the same way as it does at WDW - just put your ticket into the turnstile when you visit each park. I'm not sure if they still do the handstamping (and I have no idea why it was ever necessary anyway!) - but if they are offering it as you exit a park, then get it done just to be on the safe side!! I assume you would only need to get it done once. :confused3

Sorry, that wasn't much help really, was it?!

The hand stamping is inconsistent anyway = we've had hands stamped as we exited the main park, gone into WDS and then gone back to the main park and showed our hands only to be told to put our tickets back through the machines!

Whether hand stamped or not we have always had to reinsert our tickets, I assume you would always have to, the stamp stays on if not properly washed off, believe me by the end of the week, my sons entire hand was glowing under that light, so there would be nothing stopping people sneaking back through with yesterdays stamp and no passport, if they didn't also re-enter the tickets. :)

I wonder why they even bother with the punch in the ticket or the hand-stamping if the turnstile reads the ticket? Thanks...I just couldn't find anywhere that said you hopped with the ticket through the turnstile...and it sounded like there were no magnetic strips on the tickets since they mentioned punches and hand stamps (old time system)...good to know there are reader strips on the tickets!
