Park hopping hours no longer on MDE app (Hope hope hope this means the restriction is lifting soon??)

Today 4/27/22 the app no longer shows hopping hours…. Could be just a glitch because the website does show the “hopping after 2:00” in park hours…..

But dare we hope???

I still see the park hopping hours when I look at the park hours on desktop. Unfortunately it's just another MDE glitch :/ I hope the park hopping restriction is removed soon. It's the reason why the non-AP holders in my group didn't opt for park hopper tickets on our upcoming trip in 2 weeks.

2 days ago the Extended Evening Hours were gone from the app. But now they are back. My guess is a glitch but I love for it to be a thing of the past.

Your big mistake was thinking Disney tech might actually have good news for a switch.

If they remove the park hopping time restriction, then they may as well throw the reservation system out the window, since anyone with hopping capability could just reserve whatever park has reservations available and then immediately hop to where they really want to go. Until they eliminate the park reservation system, which right now they seem fully committed to, I just don't see the park hopping time restriction going away. I would like to at least see that time bumped up to be an hour or two earlier.

Eh, I actually think needing to get to the other park and tap in is enough of a deterrent.

But Disney already put the info on hopping back, so it appears it was just a glitch.

Maybe they could allow hopping 1 or 2 hours after tapping in to the first park or 2pm, whichever happens first. But either way you would have to tap into the first park to hop. This would help deter tapping and immediately going to the next park.
