Hi,

We are planning to go to HS for the am EMH...then back to BC for a few hours then finish the day at Epcot.
What would be the best use for my FPs? Save them for the epcot afternoon? both park are showing a 7 on the crowd calendar.

Thanks

FPs used during your Epcot afternoon have the potential to save the most time, but there is no right answer. Depends a bit also on what specific attractions you are interested in at both parks.

I would book my FPs for Epcot in your situation. EMH (get there early) will allow you to get a lot done at HS.

What is your favorite ride between the 2 parks? Is it at HS? If your favorite rides are at HS and you will be there 1/2 hour before EMH opens, then use the FP's at Epcot.

Now that I think about it, if your favorites are at Epcot, I would still get FP's at Epcot!

If you're planning on getting to HS at rope drop, I would use FP at Epcot. Soarin, Test Track, and Frozen Ever After can have some crazy waits, especially later in the day.

I'd also say save the FP's for Epcot.
Do NOT be late for EMH. You are paying too much to stay onsite AND hoppers to let that perk go to waste. Be there early. Choose your FP wisely at Epcot. This COULD be an instance where scheduling fastpasses and letting them expire would be beneficial so you could get a better 4th fp after checking in for your Tier1. Just sayin'.

My personal preference is to make all FPs in the morning. I kind of like keeping my afternoons open for whatever. We may go to the pool, hop to another park or stay where we are. Only our mornings are locked in a schedule.

Depends what your plans are for your second park. We always park hop, and use FP at our first park. When we head back to the second park, our first stop is a sit down supper right about 5pm. Then almost every night we see an evening show, which is usually about 9pm. Given that we usually have to stake out a spot for the shows an hour ahead of time, give or take, that doesn't leave us with much time for rides. We usually just do whatever rides have a short wait or are nearby where we are waiting at. If you plan to return to your second park and do nothing but rides starting at like 4 or so, getting them at the second park might make sense for you.

wow who knew disney planning was so complicated:)

I guess the thing to consider at epcot and DHS is that really all I am needing is the tier 1 FP?.... We haven't been on Frozen ever after so we should probably do that.
So I guess it comes down to waiting for TSM in the am VS Frozen in the afternoon or soaring.

AK I plan on using a FP on River of Journey on day 1 and flight of passage on day 2.
Does that make sense?

Sorry for all the questions

TSM has added capacity recently, so you're better off doing that standby in the morning (especially during EMH) and getting a FP for Frozen Ever After in the afternoon. Personally, I'd get the FP for Soarin', though. Have you seen the new "Around the World" version? FEA was a let down for me.

I'm the other way on this one, by that I mean Soarin' is worth the wait and I would line up in standby for this one if I couldn't get a FP (or if I'd already used my FP).
FEA was enjoyable but not what I would consider a "must do" ride. If I could get a FP for it, I'd do it with the short FP wait. This is not a ride that I would waste my time waiting in the Standby line for an hour or more...If my daughter were travelling with us, I'm sure she would disagree though!

I kind of meant that I wouldn't bother with FEA at all if my choice was either use Tier 1 FP or stand in a long standby line, but I know what you mean. I really dislike the queue for Soarin. It's so wide, it's hard to prevent cutting if your party only has a few people. That's one reason I always FP it.

Even though we had a FP for FEA last year, the wait was over 30 minutes, I assume because there had been breakdowns at other times of the day. The queue was comfortable with a few interesting things to look at. Likewise, we've never found the Test Track standby line to be too bad. Always plenty to look at.

I agree with the others, I would save FP's for Epcot and FP Soarin. Soarin is my favorite ride! Frozen was ok but nothing fantastic.

The problem with saving your FPs for Epcot is that, for my family anyway, we get 1 that is a good one but the other 2 are a waste. We wouldn't want to go all morning in HS without FPs just so we have one good one later.

It would almost the same at HS the tier 1 rides are all the good ones except maybe tower of terror and star tours are a 2nd tier. The rest you don't need FP for. At Epcot we always like to go on space ship earth and living with the land with our 2nd tier.

One of the threads I read said to just FP one or 2 attractions at DHS. When I get there once I scan the first FP I will then be able to select a FP for Epcot. I guess the concern is that I wouldnt be able to FP Test track Soaring or FEA the day of.

Yes I was told to do that but we are going to HS then MK. MK has no tiers though I'm not sure how that works hopping to a park that has tiers

That's exactly what we do in HS, and that makes three :) toy story, TOT and Star Tours.
