for two adults...not picky about characters at all (take 'em or leave 'em, actually.) Wanting the variety of a breakfast buffet, on the monorail...going to MK that day. Or is Crystal Palace breakfast better than the other two?

Do not want to go to non-monorail options that morning, so no Boma, no Cape May...going for the totally laid back touring (no busses, no driving...DH's dream vacation!:lmao: )

Chef Mickey's is good for breakfast but I prefer Crystal Palace, I think the food and service were better there plus you get to walk down Main street when nobody is there if you go early enough........

My family simply love Crystal Palace and we are planning on going back on our next trip but 1900 Park Fare will have a special place in my heart (or should I say stomach) due to the strawberry soup.

I love Chef Mickey's but my vote in your situation would be to do Crystal Palace.

It is a great breakfast. Be sure to make your ADR fro before the park opens and you can get into the MK before anyone else. It is a wonderful experience and you'll get great pictures.

Go to Crystal Palace. It is beautiful in there!! Go on a morning when there are no EMH morning hours, make a reservation for when the restaurant opens, and you will be out of there just before park opening, able to enjoy all the attractions early when there are fewer crowds!!!

I've never done Crystal Palace for breakfast but we did do both Park Fare and Chef Mickey in July. Between those two I would choose Chef Mickey. I thought the selection of food was much better. We were going to do Chef Mickey again in June but seeing these responses so far we might have to change that to Crystal Palace.

I vote for 1900 Park Faire. This is my family's favorite breakfast buffet - I love the omlette station and the kids love the wide variety. It does seem to be more quiet than Chef Mickey's and the character interaction is wonderful. This is a must do on each of our trips - and will be in February also.

thanks for the opinions, folks. Is Crystal Palace a character breakfast? What's the average time for breakfast at the character breakfasts...and I assume you'd get through faster with an earlier reservation?

I would do Crystal Palace for the food. I just love the french toast on the kids buffet there.
The characters at 1900 Park Fare are amazing, but the food is better at Crystal Palace.
On my last trip, we did 1900 Park Fare on Thursday, Crystal Palace on Friday and Chef Mickey's on Saturday. All for breakfast.

We ate at Crystal Palace for breakfast in June. I agree that this breakfast would be your best bet so you can get into the park early. The castle without a ton of people in front of it is great. The characters at Crystal Palace are Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore.

1900 wins, hands down every time. I like CM, but 1900 is beautiful, has better food, and what trip to WDW would be complete without Strawberry Soup.
