Can you wear park clothes to the Brown Derby for dinner? What restaurants is it discouraged or you will feel out of place?

You can wear park clothes everywhere except Victoria and Alberts. You might be a little out of place at some resort table service like Yachtsman but there will be a mix at the signatures since it is not an enforced dress code.

The Yachtsman has a dress code, too.

You asked what "what restaurants will YOU feel out of place"?
When I'm on vacation, there are no places where I'd feel out of place for dressing like I'm on vacation. Hey if everyone else is wearing tuxedos, that's their problem.
A few restaurants have rules but most of them realize they are inside of theme parks.

The suggested Signature restaurant dress "code"--and I use that term loosely--allows for park attire (i.e, shorts and t-shirts) at any restaurant except V&A.

The remaining restaurants have no code whatsoever.

So yes you certainly can wear park clothes at Brown Derby--and as for feeling out of place--I don't think so as there will be many others dressed exactly the same way.

The only place I have every felt under-dressed was Cinderella's Royal Table. We were in matching tee-shirts for our daughters birthday dinner. We had been at the park since rope drop at 9am and it was now 7pm. I was a hot, sticky mess, had been soaked numerous times on various rides and had my hair pushed back with a hairband. The people at the surrounding tables had obviously not spent the day in the park and just arrived at MK for their dinner. Perfectly turned out in pretty summer dresses for the ladies and long pants and shirts for the men. More than a few glances were cast our way that night!

Then, on the other side of the coin..... we were dressed in our wedding attire (see avatar) at Yachtsman Steakhouse and the family next to us rolled up straight out of the pool with children wrapped in towels, who proceeded to spend most of the meal sat on the floor under the table.

As a rule of thumb, I personally feel out of place in a restauruant if my attire is below the dress code of the wait staff. I wear resort/sporty dresses in the parks everyday mindfully selected for fitting in with touring and dining interchangeably #thankgodforathleta.

HBD (in my mind) is a little different signature than YSH for instance.

HBD is in a theme park, and often visited as part of your theme park day
YSH is more of an evening destination. While I dress up for YSH, I do not for HBD, YMMV
