Park Closing and FP+ reservations?

I made most of my FP times in the evening. If a park closes, will they still let in those people with FP reservations or will
we be out of luck?

You cannot get a FP reservation for after the park closes. It's just not possible. Even for hard-ticketed events, they stop issuing FP when the event officially starts.

And the parks have only ever closed (unscheduled) once or twice in history. Once for 7/11 and I can't remember the other time.

Depending on the closure level and assuming you do not meet any of the other criteria that would allow you to enter the park, just having FP+ booked probably would not be enough.

I believe that OP meant closing due to guest capacity being reached.

Parks have phased closures during peak times every year.

And these come into play depending on the phase, I'm assuming. For example, onsite guests with FP are permitted until another phase is reached, then it goes to passholders only, etc.? And do you go up to a gate even if a closing has been announced, or is there another procedure? Sorry for asking basic questions but I have a plan for July 4th that doesn't involve being at the park at rope drop.
