Does anyone have a link to statistics on park attendance the last week of August? Just curious to see what we are going to be up against in two weeks!

As a general rule, Disney does not release attendance statistics to the public.

There is free dining to contend with but many schools will be back by then so go figure? :confused3

Disney has a lot of over seas tourists durning August as some parts of Europe close durning part or all of this month. Here is what Disney says.

Disney states:

The Lowest Attendance --

January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' Week in February

The week following Labor Day until the week prior to Thanksgiving

The week following Thanksgiving until mid-December
More Moderate Attendance:
After Presidents' week in February through early March
Late April through early June (except Memorial Day weekend)
Columbus Day Weekend (October)
The first part of Thanksgiving week

Highest Attendance:
Presidents' week in February
Mid March through Late April ("Spring Break")
Memorial Day weekend
Mid June through Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and weekend
Christmas week through New Year's Day

Thank you for the information......:goodvibes

Many schools and colleges are already back in session or just about to start -- should help cut down on the crowds. A co-worker went Labor Day weekend a few years back and remarked it was pretty dead.

I am going to be there the last week of August and while historically it has been a great time to visit, I am worried about the free dining deal as well as the free upgrades of Pop Century guests to SSR in order to book additional guests at Pop. It sounds like the resorts will be at capacity.

We go the last week of August every other year (went last year and will go next year) for a number of years now. Most schools in the country are back by then -- our district goes back after Labor Day. We do not think it is too crowded. They did have the free dining going on -- we did the plan. CMs there commented that the numbers trail down each week as August goes on. We did get stuck there four extra days with hurricane Frances three years ago and missed the first day of school.
