Park at hotel ( use shuttle ) or drive and park at the port?

This is our 3rd cruise and the last 2 we have just parked at the port since we used to drive to the port early in the morning ( living in Miami ). Now we are driving from Texas so we renting Saturday to make sure we give ourselves plenty of time to be there...

Should we use the hotel park and cruise deal and use the shuttle or just drive ourselves and park at the port???

One room with 2 queens park and cruise - $280 - need to add shuttle fee. ( around $36 each way ) So total = 352


Room only ( no parking ) $240 - need to add port parking fees. ( can't recall how much is the parking - need to research )

So it looks like at the end I won't be saving much if I park at the hotel so it will come down to what's more convenient... I guess

What's your opinion or experience on this??

I forgot to mention that we are going to Disney world right after we leave the ship ... if that makes a difference

We did a park and cruise in 2012, and the shuttle left us waiting over an hour. We called and they said they were on their way...we waited and waited and waited.
My husband is the kind of person that wants to get going at the end of vacation, the waiting killed him.
Now we park at the port whenever we drive.

This is one of my concerns ... specially since we just want to keep on driving to Disney ..lol ( there is really no need to go back to the hotel ) I guess parking at the port will do it.
