Park at Downtown Disney and take bus to the parks?

It was just a simple question. Why do people feel the need to be so rude? We are trying to save any money possible. The tickets to Disney took up the majority of our budget. We really want to bring our kids to Disney while they're young, but it's expensive! I was just trying to get some options.

Thanks to those of you who weren't rude to me due to my first-ever posting on this forum.

Also, I tried to delete my post since it apparently offended some people, but I don't have the option to do so.

Sorry

No problem, YoYo - some people just tend to forget that the rest of the world doesn't know as much about WDW as they do, and for someone who has never been there free parking at Downtown Disney instead of paying to park at the parks might seem like a real possibility.

Regardless of the range of answers and snarky responses offered, I think the point is that while you could it probably doesn't make much sense.

Hope you have fun, and that your initial experience with these forums won't discourage you from asking additional questions or sharing your experiences!

Now with the MB in use, I would love to be able to ride a bus from DD to another park. That would be another perk for staying at a WDW resort. Scan your band to board the bus. I have only been to WDW 5 times since 2012. So I don't have years of WDW experience but The convenience would be appreciated. They would have to limit it to resort guest or a special ticket purchase to include WDW transportation like an add on ie park hopper. But free to resort guests. This is only my opinion.

Truthfully the time it will take you to do this will cost you way more in park time than it would to pay to park. You also would be spending a long time after a long day trying to get back to your car and then the time taken to get back out of DTD. It isn't worth the $17 for all your lost time and aggravation.

Where you can save substantial money and we do it all the time - pack your lunches. If our hotel does not have free breakfast we eat in our room. We pack sandwiches, tubes of Pringles (don't get crushed) and some bottles of water that we can refill. We also grab some apples if a breakfast buffet or we drop in some granola bars. We put it all in a backpack and take turns carrying it.

This could potentially save you $12-15 per person at lunch. For us a huge savings and we like finding an out of the way bench or spot to eat. Then we buy our dinner.
