Hi
I debated on our last trip 2 years ago doing this trip but never managed it.This time I am thinking of booking it as a birthday treat for myself. I don't want to lose much time in the parks or be hassled with the trains etc. so this looks ideal.

The bus picks you up at The New York Hotel at 8pm and costs...if I book now £80 ....the 2 boys would get free.

Has any DISers done this trip?? What did you think of it?? Do you get much time at the Eiffel Tower? and did you think it was worth the money??

TIA

I have to admit to being interested in this too! I always feel like a philistine by not at least taking one trip into Paris itself.....but am loath to use up precious park time!!!! I am interested in what experiences other Disboarders have had with this trip???? or are we all the same ....just love Disney too much??

Another one here that's pondered it! I have been to Paris a few times - pre dd, however Mum and DD haven't and I too feel a bit naughty dd going to Paris without actually ever seeing it :rolleyes1

I'd like to know more about the trip but for me personally 2 hours whizzing around on a coach wouldn't be enough .... I can stroll down the Champs-Elysees for 2 hours at night alone so I will wait until I am organised enough to add a couple of days on in Paris before or after a trip I think.

I do remember however a lovely family we got chatting to on our last trip who did this and they seemed to enjoy it very much.

Thinking about it more I guess it all depends on how much £80 means to your trip at the moment, the parks will be shut early so the trip would be something nice to do and how your children would manage with the trip being until mindnight? if it's a little treat for yourself maybe it wouldn't be so bad even if they took a nap during the trip and you could still see the sights?

I personally have had to write it off for now though I will be tucked up in bed way before 12 am :cloud9:

something i would love to do also, do you have a link Tracy?

I don't have a link,I found all the info in the brochure.I have found it difficult getting any more details about it online.

Hope we enjoy it too :thumbsup2

My 2 Ds are big boys 8 and 11 so will not have much problem staying up that late ;) They want to see the sites as much as I do so I don't think there will be much sleeping on the coach.

I would appreciate it if anyone else has done this trip and could give me a few more details.I do recall reading about it on someones TR .....time for some digging on the TR thread;)

Someone did do this at night and enjoyed it. I'll see if I can find the post.

ETA: Found it here.

I just wanted to chime in to say that there is nothing quite as spectacular as the Eiffel Tower lit up at night! Hopefully they'll have you in spot to see it at the top of the hour so you can see it sparkle. It's breathtaking! Actually, all of Paris is incredible at night. They light the buildings all along the Seine for the river cruises, and it's one of my favorite memories of my time in Paris.

how do you book one of these trips? Do you just turn up on the night you want to go and pay when you get on the coach? or does it need to be booked in advance?

In the brochure it says that if you prebook you can save 15% compared to the Disney Hotels reception sales price up to 5th April.

It also says for each adult pre-booked one child aged 3-11 can get free.

The tour is only available Tues, Thurs and Sat from Nov 2010 - 5th April.

Probably better value to pre-book

The tour is run by Cityrama and my understanding is that they send as many or as few coaches as are needed ......... so you may be lucky turning up on the night and finding there are some spare seats available but IMO it's preferable to book in advance, if not from home before you go at least when you get to Disney.

ICECUBEQUEEN when are you thinking of doing this trip?

I am hoping to do it 8th Feb...If you go before me will you please come back and give us all a review and likewise I will do the same

We don't go till 14th March so you will be going before us.

I am still debating whether or not to do it, as it only runs tues and thurs. The tues will be going to see buffalo bills and the thurs night is the firework night so if we did decide to go we would have to miss the fireworks

After all my deliberation I am now seriously considering this again :rolleyes1 It would probably be a nice thing for the last night as the parks shut at 7pm, mum would love to see the sights even only briefly and I don't think there's any way I'll drag dd away from DLP during the day.

I am wondering if anyone's going in the next couple of weeks if they would check on prices at the park? The pre book offer does seem good just want to check it's the best deal :goodvibes
