Paris 2024 Olympics thread (the opening ceremony is Friday) on NBC/USA network/Peacock and other NBC Universal stations.

I had it on regular broadcast NBC and they showed silver, bronze and 4th as they crossed. We don’t have any kind of streaming where I live. I get mad that for things like gymnastics they ONLY show US. I want to see EVERYONE qualify!

But streaming is just your wifi.

Does anyone else find it awesome that the surfers are competing in Tahiti? Must be hard lol.

So far, I dislike the overall coverage. We have Direct TV and it seems like a zillion channels is covering all of this and they all jump around a lot.

I wasn't watching so I don't know. I would guess yes or they have given them permission for them to wear leggings if the weather is rainy or below a certain temperature.

Yeah, but there's a diffrerence between a sport and a game. Sports require athleticism to at least some degree. That said, while Breakin' seems weird to be in the Olympics, it's not really any weirder than a lot of things that they already include. Really, how is it much different than a gymnastics floor exercise? I'm up for trying anything. Who knows? Maybe it will be cool.

The match played in the last hour was in 69 F weather and team Czechia wore leggings and under shirts. Team USA wore the bikini outfit instead.
