If you've been to WDW recently, you could not have escaped the construction work going on for Expedition Everest in AK, and before the backlot tour was closed, the diggers and bulldozers preparing the way for "Moteurs...Action! Stunt Show" in MGM - although there was fencing which partially hid the site.

I was really taken aback by the completely open workings for Expedition Everest - it is the new policy to show the work in progress.

If you visited recently what did you think? .. and if you haven't, do you think you'd find it offputting?

I also saw construction work at Epcot where they are getting ready for Soarin' Over California.

To be honest it didn't bother me so much bearing in mind that these are all outdoor areas and they have no choice unless Disney closes off even more of the parks so that we can't see it.

I also think it's exciting to see the progress they are making on each subsequent visit :)

I don't think it would bother me,but I know what Shirley means.Building work is usually comletely hidden as if they want you to belive the new ride appeared out of this air!:p

I am a buyer for the constuction industry so being a nerd I would like to see whats going on on site.

Sad I know but hey!:yo-yo:

I love trying to see what is going on :) Perhaps because I am nosey!!!

I would imagine it could look a bit of an eyesore in the early stages as they break ground and do the clearing work, but it must be very interesting as they start to actually construct.
You just need to go once a month for the next few years to see the progress.

Kev

I enjoyed seeing the construction of ToT at Disney's California Adventure back in the summer as it was really quite different in its exterior style to the ToT at MGM.

I know you were talking to me when you said this, Kev:D

So . . . if you could just let me have your credit card number, I'll start booking my trips:tongue:

Minnie, Expedition Everest in AK - 2006 and "Soarin'" in EPCOT plus the Stunt show in MGM in 2005.
