Parc Soleil - Hilton

Has anyone stayed at the Parc Soleil yet? Just curious since we are going at the end of September for a quick trip. We have never stayed off property before and DH has AMEX pts that we can use. It looks really nice on the site and I was hoping for some recent reviews.

Just bumping this up to see if anyone has personal experience at Parc Soleil that they can share here. My husband has Hilton Honors points we are thinking of using at Parc Soleil in Jan 2011.

If you go to the Timeshare Users Group forums there are posts by people who stayed there in the HGVC forum they will answer any questions you have. We toured the place, it's beautiful, but we didn't stay there overnight.

We stayed there for 1 night in mid September. It is gorgeous. There was only 1 tower up. The next tower will be opening in February. The pool was great with a nice slide. There is a cafe open for all breakfast, lunch and dinner. They asl have a full service bar.

The garge to park the cars was the only downfall. Spaces are quite small. If you can park outside you are better off.

We stayed in a one bedroom and our friends were in a studio. I did not care for the studio but the 1 bedroom was awesome. The balconies are huge! There is a stackable washer/dryer in the 1 bedrooms. The bathroom is huge...... Any questions, please let me know.

I'm the OP of this thread and we did end up staying at Parc Soleil and LOVED it! We had a 1BR Suite and it could not have been any better. The parking garage was attached right to the building so we could park and walk right inside the door the the elevator. The pool was great, my DD enjoyed the zero entry and we all enjoyed the water slide. We had lunch from the cafe and it was very good. We enjoyed our hotel view so much that we ate most meals on the balcony of the suite. If we ever choose to stay off site again, we will definitely stay here. I have quite a few pictures of the suite if anyone is is insterested, I will post!

ETA: If you ask my DD3 the best part of the hotel...it would be the bathtub filling from the ceiling, lol!

betsywdw Thanks for the update! I'm glad you had a good time. One thing I'm worried about from reviews I've seen is that some people have felt pressured to attend the time share pitches. Did you experience that at all?

Also, has anyone stayed at a Hilton Vacation Resort using Hilton Honors points? My DH will have near 300,000 points when we go on our vacation in January 2011 and I'm wondering if you can stay in a 1 bedroom suite and if there are any restrictions when using Hilton Honors points.

Just booked a 1 bedroom suite at Park Soleil for April 22-May 1 - everything I've seen and read is positive, so I'm very excited.

Also, has anyone stayed at a Hilton Vacation Resort using Hilton Honors points? My DH will have near 300,000 points when we go on our vacation in January 2011 and I'm wondering if you can stay in a 1 bedroom suite and if there are any restrictions when using Hilton Honors points.

If you look up at post #3 you will see a link to the Hilton Timeshare owners group. Go there they can tell you anything you need to know about HH points. It's a hot topic since they are being devalued 25% as of 1/1/10

Elle Belle...we had no pressure. A sales guy did call our room one day and talked to DH. DH said he would consider it and call him back if we were interested. We never called back. Our phone did ring 2 other times and we didn't pick up. I'm guessing it was him but no message was left and we never heard back. He did offer us free park tix for attending the presentation though.

This place looks beautiful! Does the Parc Soleil offer any organized kids' activities?
