Can anyone tell me if they still sell the Mary Poppins style parasol at Disneyland?

If so, are they actually useful for providing shade?

And, how much do they cost?

Thanks!! :thumbsup2

They had a cart that sold them in NOS near BB. I have no idea how much they were or how useful they might be.

The cart is in between French Market and Cafe Orleans.

The have different colors and the CMs can personalize them for you.

I'm not sure how much they are.

But last trip it was over 100 degrees out and I saw very many people with them, so I'm assuming they do provide you with shade pretty well.

.

I saw that cart, actually took a pic of my dd(now)16 & Jack Sparrow with a couple as the backdrop. I had no idea you could buy those. We were having fun "Jack watching".

They actually come in different sizes as I recall. Prices vary based on size and personalization. I seem to remember the smallest was $15 and they went up incrementally

Last time we were there, my DDs got them. One got the big one, the other got the small one. $15.00 sounds about right for the small one - don't remember how much the big one was. Not much more, though.

They will personalize them and we were told they can be used in the rain after they cure for 24 hours.

My girls have the small ones, they love them. They are very cute but not functional. We bought them 2 years ago and they were $15 each iirc. I don't remember how much the larger ones were but man, I should have one of those things.....maybe then my shoulders wouldn't be sunfried. lol

lol. He's interesting to watch him "watching" huh? :rotfl:

Yeah! I remember that's where the cart is because when we had lunch at Cafe Orleans, my chair was facing the parasol cart and I saw so many people go and get them! I'm tempted now. :cool2:

My last trip to Disneyland (which was also my first trip, ahah) was in '95 and I remember my little sister got one of those, and I for some reason passed up on getting one, and I've always regretted it. When I return in October, I'm buying one!!
