Parasailing?

So, my DH really thinks this would be a lot of fun. I am a little more cautious... especially with its cost. Anyone do it? TIA!

Haven't done it yet, but DS and I will on July 10th! I'm scared as heck, but I'm going to do it anyway! From pictures I've seen, the kite thing goes up SO high!

I haven't tried it but my friend and I are going to this year when we visit.

We are going tandem so at least we can scream together if necessary

My DS(10) and I did it 2 years ago,tandem. We had a blast! We already made plans to do it again this year. It does go up high, but from that view point, you can look around and see alot! I am afraid of heights(wont do TofT), but dont regret this at all!

i actually just went parasailing in january in key west florida..it was amazing!! iw ent up with a friend and cant wait to do it again!

I have not done this at WDW, but have been in Australia and Mexico. It was great! I'm not crazy about heights or the idea of falling into water from that height ~ but was not afraid. I thought it was interesting looking down and out at the scenery. It's fun for someone like me, who will never do more than that, such as sky diving.

DH and DD did this our last day in April. They had a great time.

With the weather nice they were booked several days in
advance.

They had a blast - the view was incredible (according to both of them). We were on the silver plan so I don't know the exact $$

We decided to go parasailing this last October, and we had a blast! Me and my DS went tandem style and I am afraid of heights too, but it was no sweat! My DD watched us, and decided she wanted to do it too because it looked so fun. So her and my DH went tandem style right after us, and loved it too. The view of the Magic Kingdom and the surrounding hotels was awesome. Couldn't get those pics any other way!
We just went over to the Contemporary, and since the weather was a little cloudy, not a soul was in sight there at the marina...We had them all to ourselves. If you have the budget to do it, go for it, you will love it. Being our first time at WDW, we tried almost everything that most people recommended, but this is one activity that we will definitely do again when we go back!
You can even stay in your regular clothes when you go, no swimsuit required like I thought we would have to change into, but depending on the season, people can do whatever they choose! But there is no getting wet at all, just FYI.

I would love to do this with my son!! Is there a maximum weight limit for tandem style???

If I remember right, when I called for June they told me the the Max tandem weight was 350. Minimum for solo was 100, I don't remember if they told me a Max for single or not. Price was $135 tandem (8-10 min at 450ft) and $85 single (8-10 min at 450ft) plus tax. Hope this helps.

when you call Disney reservations to book your trip tell them you would like to include at least one recreation that trip. Parasailing can be the one you choose to include in the trip package.

We went parasailing in Jan. We both enjoyed it; not sure we'll try it again, but it was worth doing at least once. The ascent/descent are very smooth, before you know it you're waaaay up there! We had to go separately; DH who is afraid of heights was fine, I was a little creeped out because it was slightly windy that day and when we'd make the turns there was a bit of shaking. I knew it's not possible to fall out, but logic wasn't working at that time We were on the Gold Plan, so it was included - we did have to sign something and I think it was $235. for the 2 of us? As a note to those who go during the winter months - they will close the marina if it is below 50, and/or too windy. We had to reschedule 3 times.

We are going to do this using the Silver package. The information on this states that restrictions apply. Does anyone know what the restrictions are when using Wishes?

The restrictions don't have to do with the wishes. It has to do with the weight. They have to send up 120 to 320 pounds. So in the case of my two daughters they have to go together in a tandem harnes because neither one weighs enough. It kinda sucks though. One at a time is $85 for two wishes. Tandem is $135 but still two wishes each (4 wishes). But we're doing it if the weather cooperates.
