We are going parasailing on our trip. I called to make our reservations, and I have a couple of questions for those who have done it before.

I guess my main question is on the weight issue. Everywhere I've read it says 350 combined weight. Now, they tell me 325. He asked if our combined weight was over 325 and I had to think. While I hesitated, he informed me that unless we were very large people, it wouldn't be a problem. I thought he was quite rude in saying that. My husband is by no means fat. He is a tall guy and, while he doesn't have washboard abs, he sure as heck isn't fat. He weighs 210. Now, if I am going to ride with him, I have to practically be anorexic (sp?). It has been a long time since I have weighed 115. I'm a long ways from it. Therefore, I can not go with my husband. So, we are swithcing things up a bit. However, the weight might still be a little close. Do they weigh you before you go up?

My other question is have you ever gone with more than one boat? There are four of us going. Will we all go up at the same time?

I don't know about the wieght issue other than I can tell you that they don't weigh you beforehand. We did tandems with our kids so our combined weights were under either of the limits you suggest (I don't know what the limit actually is).

We were a party of 4 and shared with another party of 2 (strangers), so I'm sure you'll all be on the same boat. They only use one parachute at a time, so you'll take turns.

We just did it on 11/5 for my DD9 birthday and there is only 1 boat that goes out. It was the 2 of us, a man and his 2 girs and a single woman.
They didn't weigh us.
The 2 guys that are on the boat that take you up are awesome. Great personality.

We did it with our kids. My husband is a big guy 230 and he went up with my son who is about 90 pounds. They had no problem. I do agree that his comment was insensitive because two adults could EASILY weigh 325 together, a 190 pound man and a 135 pound women. Not big at all!
