Hello,
We were reading the Shore Excursions booklet and it states that the Parasail ascends 600-1000 feet in the air.
Is that true?
That would mean the parasail travels up 60 - 100 stories? :scared1:
Really, how high does it go?
Thanks!

Here are two pics of my DD and I during our August 2003 cruise doing the CC Parasailing Excursion. As you can see, the rope extends from the boat 600-1000 feet, but you aren't actually that high up in the air. The parasailing is something that I really enjoyed and am glad that I did it. It was so peaceful and quiet floating above the water and looking down at CC and the ship.

Thank you, once again, Verandah Man! We were a little apprehensive, being 60-100 stories in the sky! Now I know what that means.
Thanks again :flower:

Parasailing - How High?
Well that depends upon how afraid you are - the more scared you are the "higher" you will need to be before getting strapped into the harness :smooth:

ok--here is a real silly question..but how do you get that high and how are you brought down to the ground again? my older ones are all for this and my 12 year old is thinking about it...but i don't know what to explain to her!! thanks so much!!

There is a hoist on the speed boat that lets you go up, and once you are all the way out, they will start bringing you back to the boat. It's a very smooth take off and landing from the back of the boat. If you're lucky, like we were, you might even get dunked in the water!!!
