Paradiso 37

:cool1: Sorry if it was a dumb question, but when i saw it online it was just a drawing, and there wasn't a menu listed, so I didn't think it was open...Anyone eaten there?? Can't wait to relax with a margarita!

We ate there in July for lunch. I thought it was ok. Really I would go back just to go to the tequila bar and have apps. Maybe someone else ate there that can recommend something good to eat.

subbing...

On our list to try for the upcoming trip, so would love to hear if anyone has been there & what was good/not from the menu &/or bar.

We just returned from a long weekend @ the World & on our first night we went to Paradiso 37. All I have to say is when can we go back?!?!

DH & I enjoyed this restaurant very much!
Although they are not doing ADRs you can call the restaurant directly (407 934 3700) to make a reservations. Currently they are not participating in the dining plan.
The restaurant is more towards the West Side. It is up from Ragalan Road & not too far from Flights of Wonder (in fact that is what we did after supper).

We got there about 15 minutes early for our 7:30p reservation & they were able to seat us right away. We got seats on the deck and had an amazing view.

There was a lot of outside seating - I'm guessing more tables outside than inside. The inside didn't strike me as very big. The walls rolled up so that the whole place had a nice open feel to it. The kitchen was open, so you could see them working back there.

We started w/the Argentinean Chorizo Skewers & those were very good. The meat was flavorful and then the sauce gave it a little kick. (Well, I thought it had kick, DH said not... but we are opposite ends of the scoville scale so take that for what it is worth.)

I also got the Prickly Pear Salad. I had the regular salad, but you could also add shrimp to it. This was fantastic! When we go back I may order that w/the shrimp as a main meal.

The bar had a wall of tequila that changed colors.
para2.jpg

The bar area was pretty small, just a few seats at the bar & couple tables. I ordered wine. The menu had a good description of the wines so I ordered a nice full chardonnay. Very good - wish I could remember the name of it. There was someone performing in the bar - just guitar & singing. Not too loud or distracting, a nice background.

For supper both of us had the Argentinean Skirt Steak.
para5.jpg

Wow! The meat was melt in your mouth tender & the flavor was great! Not hot spicy but very flavorful. I'd order this again in a New York minute. I devoured my steak & left the fries.

We didn't order dessert, but since we were celebrating my birthday we did get a mini ice cream cone. They didn't even try lighting the candle -- there was too much breeze, we all knew it would never light & even if it miraculously did it wouldn't stay lit long enough to make a wish... so we pretended. :goodvibes.
para9.jpg

The only down side to the whole meal was initially the service was very slow. In fact DH ended up flagging down someone (maybe a manager, not sure) to ask about placing our drink order. He took the order & I saw him put it into the bar. As soon as the drinks came up our waitress had them to our table, along w/many apologies. After that she was pretty good - don't know if they snuck us in on her? Something didn't get into the computer? Or she just made an honest mistake? But it was easily corrected & didn't repeat, so I really can't complain too much.

All in all, based on this first experience, I can say we will absolutely be returning to Paradiso 37! I would make a special trip to DTD just for dinner here.

Thanks for the review. We will be trying out Paradiso 37 for the first time tomorrow night, and it doesn't sound like we'll be disappointed :thumbsup2
