Which is the longer walk? My only experience with the Disneyland Hotel was walking there to dinner after a VERY long day, so it seemed like for bloomin' ever :confused3 I don't think it was, but with flying from Vancouver, spending all afternoon at DCA, walking through ALL the shops in DTD, it seemed like it. I don't remember seeing Paradise Pier at all (not that I was really looking, mind you), so I can't really think which is the longer walk.

Thanks!!

PP is further away.

You can get a shortcut by snaking through GCH, but it's still longer, I believe, than DLH.

I would say it's pretty close to equal. You go straight from DD to the DL hotel. Angle left to PP. And I think if you cut through GC it would be pretty close to even. (just walked both last weekend - more than once!) At least to me the difference wasn't great enough to matter.

The walk to PP is longer but not by much at all. We had breakfast there when we stayed at DLH and we were inside the hotel in about 5-10 minutes. I'm really slow so it would probably take anyone else a shorter amount of time. I didn't think the walk was bad at all and that's coming from someone who has an old broken ankle injury, old knee injury, a butt the size of Detroit and is just plain old! The distance seemed fine to me and that was after the parks all day ........ but I was wearing my Crocs!:woohoo:

Don't you wish they had moving sidewalks like at the airport that would take us from the exit of DL to the hotels? That would be heavenly. They should have a long one that stretches all along downtown disney.:wizard:

That sounds fun.:goodvibes Then you dont have to worry about the people who stop dead in their tracks to stare at something as a million people are trying to walk around them. Sorry. That bugs me.

I always think that. Seriously, that would make me so happy.

I stayed at PP in April, I always crossed the street and cut through GCH. DCA was quicker through the entrance by Soarin. For DL, I cut through and came out by Sephora.

I stayed at Paradise Pier two weeks ago, it's not far at all. Just make a left at the movie theater, head to the end of the parking lot, and cross the street. It's just a few minutes.

I'm WDW vet and that was my first trip to DLR, so I'm still stunned at how close together everything was (and I loved it)!

Ooh, I'd love that... would actually stay at the DLH again for that... but now we've tasted the closeness of the GCH and it would be hard to give that up...

Ooh, yes, I wish they had that! Make life at Disney much easier (okay, not that it's hard to begin with, let's be real - but still.... Great idea!!).

I'm so leaning toward DL Hotel - has a safe (I always bring my laptop for work when everyone else is sleeping), bigger pool, arcade...... Plus, for this trip the dates work out that we will actually get to use three Magic Morning entries to the park - yahoo! That makes it worth the bucks (not quite GCH bucks - but maybe next time....) versus offsite, which we did last time.
