I haven't seen this posted and thought I would post a warning. I don't remember the actual temperature, I think it is 90 degrees. But when the temp gets above a certain temperature, they do not stop the parades and dance like they normally do, but instead run the parade straight through. So while you do get to see the floats and the dancers are walking along dancing, they do not stop and perform like normal.
We were there Saturday where the temps hit into the 100s. I don't know the exact temp at DL, but at my home about 10 minutes away we were at 106. We had promised our daughter we would take her to see the cars pre-parade over the weekend and were busy on Sunday, so we went on saturday. Throught out the week the there were 6 different times listed, then when I checked saturday morning the only time listed was for 4:45. Since that was the one we were planning on seeing (we were busy earlier) it didn't effect our plans. We went through the gates of DCA at 4:30. Since the cars pre-parade wasn't listed in the times guide I went and asked at Guest Relations. After waiting my turn, I asked and was told the last one was at 4:45, they did have it 6 different times, even though they changed it where I was looking, and that it was only in the area by the Golden Dreams theater. By this time it was 4:40. We ran all the way overthere, and got there dripping wet at 4:46. I asked another CM about it, and was informed that it would start in the Hollywood area (where I was originally) and go through the whole parade route. I said but at guest relations they told me I had to come here. She said during the day you can only see it in this area, but the 4:45 one goes through the whole parade route. So we bought some ice cream and sat down and waited. They had McQeen, and Mater come down. I don't know if they stop for the other times, but the one we went to did not stop. I did get some pictures, I will try to upload them later.
Because of the heat one of the most crowded areas were the water play areas in Bugs Land. Of course we had to visit all three of them too.
