Does anyone know, if you get a FP+ for viewing a parade at MK, can you stay in that spot for the fireworks? Is it even a good spot to watch fireworks?

They have moved the parade FP+ to Town Square while they work on the hub area in front of the castle. This would not be a good viewing spot for Wishes.

I have always felt like FP+ for parades or fireworks is a waste of a FP. There will always be good seating for both of these.

We did FP for MSEP and it was totally worth it! We went with extended family that did not want to "waste" a FP on the parade - after the fact they admitted they were wrong. They had a crappy view of the parade, the castle show and Wishes (this was before the refurb). We had a great spot that we walked into about 15 minutes before it started. There were tons of people behind our area that had been sitting there for hours holding their spot.

This year with the refurb we will still get the FP for MSEP but will do Wishes on another night since we have the dessert party booked. I do not know the new Wishes view from the MSEP FP spot but we were able to stay in the same spot after the parade.

I disagree, we used it (back when it was in the hub right in front of the castle) and it was the BEST FP we got. Walked right up and sat comfortably with the best view we have ever had, got wonderful pictures of DS waving to all the characters. No one pushing in behind us, or crowding, or cutting in front. I think it is the only positive thing about FP+. The system generally didn't work for our family as we need to be a little more spontaneous and go with the flow with little ones in the group, but the parade fast pass was AWESOME. We were always there at rope drop so we could do and see the must see attraction at those times instead of needing a FP.

We are going with four children ranging from 1-7 years old, and I have gone back and forth with this. I understand why some people say it's a waste, but it's hard to camp out for an hour or longer with the kids. On our last trip, it was hard for them to see when we didn't stake out our spot in advance.
