Parades and Fireworks in October

We're thinking about a trip in early October. I was really excited when I read about the different parades. However, I just checked the official Disneyland site, and the calendar shows nothing scheduled at this time. Does that mean that there won't be any parades, fireworks, etc.......or they just haven't added them yet? The last time we were at DL was in June '01, so I'd really like to experience all the "new stuff". I would appreciate some help on this from the Dis members who are familiar with early October at DL. Thanks!

Hey DisneyGrandma! I'm also from Nebraska!!!
We have been to DL in October before - matter of fact it was last year and the main thing to remember is that it is off season, which means that the Fireworks, Fastasmic, & parades are usually only on the weekends - Fri.-Sunday. I'm pretty sure, but if someone else has other information, please post.

My thought originally was there would be fireworks on Fri & Sat, but none are listed. I thought maybe the parades might run 1 or 2 x's during the week, as well as the week-end. But nothing is scheduled. Fantasmic will be closed for rehab. Is it possible they just haven't listed them yet? How far in advance does Disney put out their schedule for DL?

I'm very experienced with WDW, but need some help on this. I noticed a thread for October trips. Anyone have any info on parades & fireworks for early October? Thanks!

DLR released the September schedule (up to Sept 27), but they haven't released the October schedule.

In October:

The fireworks should be shown on Fri, Sat, and Sun.

Fantasmic will be closed for refurbishment.

And DL's Parade of Dreams should be shown at 7:00pm Mon to Thurs; and 3:30 & 6:30pm on Fri, Sat, and Sun.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping that the schedule just wasn't out yet. There are so many things at DLR that we want to experience. I'm disappointed that we won't be seeing the Aladdin show because the Theater will be closed for rehab. Hopefully we'll be able to see both parades, though. Thanks again!
