In the past it's been around 5:30 or 6:00. Tried to google it and saw a twitter post about a small altercation among the bystanders on the sidewalk last night, it was posted at 6:20.

The fight doesn't surprise me one bit. It is prime viewing there because they do the fake snow and you can get a great view of them coming up the street and rounding the corner. But it is super tight. And so many people try to move around that area. It is crazy. I'm not sure why people can't just pick a spot and stay put while the parade is going on. And if someone is already in a space you'd like to stand in, tough luck. Don't push them. Don't squeeze in right in front of them. Find someplace else. Its a nice parade, but it is just balloons and characters. Not worth all the stress. I made the mistake of picking out a place there a few years ago. Just to the right of Macy's. Total idiots pushing me and my family. Pushing strollers right into the back of my legs. People trying to squeeze their scooters through impossible areas, running over my feet. Just abhorrent behavior.
Similar things go on for the Castle projection show. Crazy people pushing and shoving the whole time.
Surprisingly, I haven't experienced any of the above at the cinema lake show. Pretty nice overall. Sure, there are a few idiots here and there. But not like the parade and the castle show.
Having said that, I'll be there Sunday night for the parade and Monday night for the castle show. And I promise not to be one of the idiots.
