Hi...
We're going to Universal for the first time since they have added IOA. Can anyone tell me about the parade in IOA? My daughter is really interested in the Marval Comic Characters -- especially X-Men. Are there a lot of characters in the parade?

Thanks.:smooth:

There isn't a parade at either park. They have a various times the heros come out on ATV's to sign autographs though.

Oh, I was going by the TV ad. The new Universal ads show a parade of characters on different riding vehicles going down through the streets.

Well, they do ride down the streets of Marvel. They start at the gate by Storm Force, and they stop in the middle area, near the Doom and Spider-Man ride exits. Once they stop, they're available for pictures and autographs. When their time is up, they head back towards the gate they entered from.

The characters in the motorcade are:

Spider-Man, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, and Captain America. They used to have the Green Goblin and Doctor Doom, but they were discontinued.:(

Oh, my daughter will be disappointed that Nightcrawler and Gambit aren't there -- but she'll be happy about Wolverine.

Hulk also comes out in the parade. Let's not forget him....;) :p

Saddest. day. ever.

Hi, Hagster:

Two things -- I keep seeing references to the tag fairies. Can you tell me what that is?

Also, let me know what you think of the Mummy ride. My daughter worships those movies, but doesn't like roller coasters. I'd love to know what the ride entails so I can warn her.

Thanks......have fun!

The Mummy is awesome. You can't miss it. There is a coaster part, but if you have ridden Rockin Roller Coaster at Disney, then you should be fine.

Hi-ya Zim! :wave2:
The tag fairies are magical creatures that have a lot of fun with sayings under your user name - they tend to show up when you least expect it & *poof* the tag under your user name has magicaly changed colors & often times, they will make you a new tag or make additions to your existing tag.
It's fun to read all the messages under peoples usernames, the tag fairy has quite a sense of humor!!!! Hope you see one soon, but don't look to hard, they never show up when you are looking for them!!!!

I loved the mummy ride ( I went during TR, so I have already been on twice) there are coaster "elements" to the ride - but it's not really a "coaster".
With out giving to much away, I distinctly remember my bum coming off the seat in only one part, & there are a few fast turns, but it's really not all that bad.
Really, it depends on what your daughter can handle - not sure how old she is or if she goes on other rides, & Mummy is tough to compare so................you may have to ride it first & then see if she can handle it.
Hope that helps a little !!

Actually, I'm the scaredy-cat. I can't do any rides like that
because I have vertigo. My daughter (17) is much braver about adventure, but is not a big fan of roller coasters. As soon as she heard there was a roller coaster faction, she said no way. I'll let her read your description and maybe she and her dad can give it a try.

thanks.
