A group I am involved with is thinking about entering a float in the local Christmas parade. I am filling out the entry form and I have a question for any seasoned floaters. Do I or do I not want my float judged? We are not advertising and dont hope to make any money or get customers (not a business). We are just doing as a fun holiday event and to provide some music for the community. I can see why school bands would want to be judged, but in my case, is there any reason? Thanks!

Have it judged just for fun. Sometimes they offer prizes just to get more people to sign up. I like seeing which floats win. Do you have to pay a fee?

No. Only if you are a commercial organization or business, which we are not.
It sounds like a lot of fun!

Pride of course!

"Yes, I had the best decorated float at the Christmas Parade this year, thanks for asking":lmao:

I would def. do it! It sounds like fun. Who doesn't enjoy some competition?
