So many updates. They definitely got it right with all the characters. What a great time to be in Disneyland Paris for it's 25th Anniversary. Okay, so who was holding the 25th Anniversary button? Is that toile on your nails? I love it.
Who is Alicia friends with now? I'm not up on the Princess in the red dress. I know she's sort of new. She looked so happy being in the parade.
The nutella crepe looked so good. Sort of like the nutella waffles in Disney World.

I'm so glad we were able to see it! I'm holding the button. There Jamberrys which are just nail wrap that you heat to your nails and I'm obsessed with them, but the ones I'm wearing are called fine china.

On A Dragon Hunt
Once entering Princess Aurora’s castle we decided to first walk around upstairs where the story of sleeping beauty is told through stain glass.
After the quick tour around the castle, which was basically a 2 minute thing because we can’t read french we exited out the back on the balcony overlooking Fantasyland.
Then it was finally time for us to go see a dragon up close and personal.
Underneath the castle in Paris lives the sleepiest dragon I have ever seen in my life. At ever few minutes he will awake from his slumber to look around and breathe smoke as guests that look over him.
The park at this time was packed thanks to the 25th anniversary, people were everywhere and it became too much. So we decided to head back to the room before our dinner reservations. But before we did we stopped in the cutest little store next to the castle in Fantasyland that was themed as Snow Whites cottage and I died over the details.
Disneyland Paris is all connected both parks and there downtown disney area. Everything is blocked off so once entering through the Disney security you have Disneyland on your right, Walt Disney Studios in front of you and Disney Village to your left. When you exit the park you have to walk through part of the village in order to exit to the bus stop or train station. You can also walk through all of Disney Village where at the end of it is all the Disney resorts. Every resort is in walking distance and will take you 15 minutes to walk to the farthest one. I loved that because I’m so use to having to take busses everywhere in WDW and here you can just walk to everything.
(The smallest WOD I have ever stepped into)
And although we could walk we opted for the bus to get us there quicker, also might I add that you never really wait for a bus here. No “we just missed the bus we have to wait 15-20 minutes for the next one” because at most we probably waited was 5 minutes and thats also including after the night time shows when everyone leaves
Once getting to back to Santa Fe we headed straight to the luggage room to get our suitcases.
Then it was off to find our room
Close your eyes...come with me,
Where it's clean and green and pretty.
And they went and made a city outta clay.
Why, the minute that ya get there, Folks'll walk right up and say,
"Welcome home, son, welcome home to Santa Fe!”
Our resort had a buffet that our dining plan could be used for…we didn’t go there but Alicia said it was really good.
Our room was located in the middle building right next to the Rio Grande, which was the river that separated us from Hotel Cheyenne.
Welcome home for the next 3 days
Overall, it wasn’t the nicest room I have ever stayed in nor was it a personal favorite but it wasn’t horrible and the location and price we got it for was worth it. Plus I view it as just a place to sleep.
We spent an hour relaxing, watching timon and pumba and their safety spiels. Be safe on the internet friends because you never know what hyenas are out there.
Brittany wasn’t feeling well so we ended up hanging out longer than planned. So while we she tried to relax I went through all my photos from the cavalcade, then all our dining plan stuff.
Tonight we were eating at Billy Bob’s in the Disney Village. And when making reservations we learned that they only had “early” times left to eat, apparently 6pm is very early to eat dinner.
With our reservations receipts I also held onto all the meal vouchers as well as our easy pass that let us in early for EMHs. This is the time of our trip when I told Brittany how much I appreciate the magic bands because without them there is just to much paper to keep in order and not loose.

Enter A World Of Fantasy
Tonight we had dinner reservations at 18:00…6pm at Billy Bobs. Brittany was still feeling sick but told me she would at least go because it would be a waste to miss out on a free dinner. We hopped on a bus to Disney and off we went to explore the Disney village. This was the smallest little area I have ever seen, it reminded me of my beloved west side at Disney springs.
We got there early so it was perfect timing for us to walk around the 3 shops they had and start scoping out the Disney merchandise. At this point I decided to grab not the gold and black 25th ears (since they were all sold out) but the purple bow 25th ears. I also wanted a Pua but I refrained.
The doors at billy bobs did not open until 6 so we waited inline outside with the rest of the guests.
Once we were let in the CM at the podium took our reservation slip as well as our meal voucher. During this time she made small talk and asked if we saw the anniversary celebration because she took part in the big CM flashmob that morning. We then realized why all the morning breakfast restaurants were closed in Disneyland, because all the CMs were doing a flashmob down Maint Street.
She gave us back our vouchers and we were told to go upstairs to the other CM who would take care of us.
Once we got to the podium upstairs, that CM took our voucher and our drink order. Then we
were taken to our table. Tonights meal was a french take on American BBQ.
Like every good Disney buffet must have a kids section where I will eat all the potato stars
When thinking BBQ I think ribs, fried chicken, corn of the cob….not here. Instead I got cheesy potatoes, chips and salsa, chicken fajita, and pasta. It was all very good just not what I was expecting.
And before we left how could you say no to make your own crepes?
After dinner it was time to head back to Disneyland to see how much of the park we could get done.
Tonight our mission was to explore as much of Fantasyland as we could. Once walking through the castle and entering Fantasyland we were first drawn to Pinocchio’s. Dark rides are my childhood and the lack of them still left in Disney world is slim so I will always wait in line for them.
Overall it was everything I needed, just a nice telling of Pinocchio with all those abrupt turns that dark rides give you.
After I was really on a “I want to ride Small World” “Can we ride small world?” And after multiple “why do you want to ride that?” Brittany finally allowed us to ride it and I was so happy.
Welcome to Paris where their hippo’s eyes are actually normal!
A picture of us in London….since in our original plan we were going to take a day trip to London with Alicia but her managers wouldn’t let her leave Paris. So maybe not this trip but one day I’ll make it there.

And our obsession with sports
After It’s A Small World we walked around some more. In fantasyland they have a windmill which is a counter service food window but once we saw it we both started singing “This is the paris of my childhood…” But this windmill use to be a small ferris wheel which was not made by Maurice.
Once passing the windmill you enter Wonderland and take on the maze if you dare. Brittany’s love for Alice is (not) very strong but we were ready to get lost in wonderland.
We’re late for a very important date!

In Wonderland We Both Went Mad
Alice's Curious Labyrinth is a cute little maze where you come face to face with a few familiar faces. The main reason for this maze is to get to the queen of hearts castle for a great view looking over the kingdom. But before you get to the kingdom you have to fall down the rabbit hole.
Where you may actually have to crawl through a small door to get to the other part of the maze.
And as you walk through the hedges you’ll come to little photo spots…but we were stuck in between a few groups of people to every get any photos.
I’ll be honest the castle always seemed so close but they make sure to have you looping and turning all over the place before you actually make it.
“We found wonderland, you and I got lost in it”
And once we made it up inside the castle we were not disappointed in the view
And with every guest waiting to get that “over looking the kingdom” picture we decided to head out of the castle and found the sortie
And right outside the exit they have the cutest 25th photo op
We walked around fantasyland until we found ourself getting in line for Peter Pans Flight. And by the looks of it this would be our last attraction for the night since they closed the line down a few minutes after we got in line. Be prepared for them to close lines early, it was 9 when they closed the line and the park was opened until 10.
Once we got off they were directing guests through fantasyland to discoveryland and out to main street. Once we got to Main Street we saw the huge group of people waiting out for Illuminations. Tonight we passed on this because with the castle being small you need to wait out a while for a good spot. Instead we decided to beat the crowd and head back to the hotel.
As we got on the bus we were so thankful that we went with the Disney hotel route instead of an Airbnb close by since if we did that we would be walking 15 minutes to the apartment.
This was the earliest night for us so far but we were ok with that because we were pooped. Once we got back to the room Alicia texted me asking what we were doing after the fireworks. When I told her we were back at the room she asked if we wanted her to come over. It was her last day in Paris and left tomorrow morning to head back home. We told her not to make the commute because the apartments Disney put them in weren’t very close. So instead we enjoyed some English speaking TV. Tomorrow we explore the Walt Disney Studios!!!!

Wow what a view!!
And that's weird about closing lines early! That's good to know because I totally would have expected them to keep lines open until closing time, like at WDW.

Yeah it was weird because I wasn't expecting them to close them so early. However I do remember them closing lines early at Tokyo Disney as well. So maybe WDW is the weird one but I don't mind

Surfing The EAC
Today was our sleep in day, and what a weird concept especially when we are at Disney. However Studios didn’t open until 10 today so we weren’t in a big rush. Plus being so close to the parks itself was great because we didn’t have to leave the room until 9:15. Once going through the long security line we were in the park by 9:45.
Welcome to Walt Disney Studios the home of Crush’s Coaster and Ratatouille
You enter the park through studio one which is a big sound stage filled with food and merchandise stores. We didn’t have time to take in this area because we needed to jump in the crush coaster line. But one thing we do know is that we were both very taken back from the Brown Derby being a quick service.
The end of the line for Crush’s was already outside of studio 1. The park though was still not “open” so I had Brittany wait in line while I ran to get Ratatouille fastpasses. Brittany questioned me if I knew where it was….did I? Not really but I did look at the map before so I had a good idea of where I was going.
The hardest part for me was not being able to stop and take it all in. It was actually really hard for me to just run past everything and not stop to take pictures. But it was all worth it because I scored us some fast passes and was able to catch Brittany before she entered the actual line for Crush’s.
While waiting in the line this is the only wifi you will find in the park and its only to be used for playing the crush game. We tried checking it out but the wifi was sort of slow.
Crush’s Coaster was one of those rides that I needed to experience before I died. Its one of those attractions everyone talks about. You sit in a shell back to back and the shell turns are you go down hills and turns. In the beginning you do through twist and turns and see all the famous Finding Nemo characters then you go up a big to enter the roller coaster part of the right. At this point we were backwards and then we got stuck at the top of the hill for a good amount of time. Enough time for Brittany to talk her attraction CM terms. “We’re cascading, this happens all the time at space mountain” You can stop being a CM but that CM lingo never leaves you. We weren’t cascaded for long and the first drop go me good, plus the “spinning” is a nice touch.
After getting of Crush’s we were planning on getting some breakfast. But we soon learned that the breakfast vouchers were only good at Disneyland, therefore we were just keeping all our breakfast vouchers.
We still had a few minutes to spare before we could use our FPs so we took the time to browse the Ratatouille gift shop and enjoy the beautiful section of the park.
This Ratatouille area was very well made and I approved
Then it was time to experience Paris’s popular trackless ride
Before getting into your mouse car you first have to grab your 3D glasses. Then you watch as the mice ride around to find a random home and off you go
I LOVED THIS RIDE! First off the trackless ride system is something that I enjoy because it just makes me question how it works and I’m sad we don't have an awesome attraction like that at WDW. The oversized objects makes you feel like a little mouse and its just a cute attraction.
At the exit of the ride you get a sneak peak into Chef Remy, the cutest and well themed restaurant. And I was super excited to try it out tomorrow.
After Ratatouille we decided to head over to the other side of the park to find some food. Side note: this park has very little food options.
And to get over to the other side we decided to walk through the toy story play land and I almost died. Toy story is one of my absolute favorites and the amount of details they put into this land made my heart so happy. But Disney honestly never lets me down when it comes to all the details they put into their parks.

Fantasyland closes an hour before park closing time in preparation for the evening show - the other lands should all still be open until closing time - we flew round Big Thunder Mountain once watching the fireworks and it was spectacular!

You Don't Know What You Have Till It's Gone
As we headed out of Toy Story Playland we headed to the other side of the park to the dark gloomy sky. But not before we laughed at a non-speaking Buzz lightyear.
We headed to Tower of Terror to grab some fast passes for later after lunch.
Once we left tower we were caught up in the Star Wars show going on. Brittany had that added to our list for some point of this trip…but spoiler alert we never went to see it. We just saw the ending
However Chewy made an appearance in our life. And then we watched as a small child tried to run after him as he was trying to leave but of course the lovely CMs let him have a magical moment.
By this time of the day I was ready to eat my arm, so we found ourselves at Disney Blockbuster Cafe. We were lucky enough to beat the lunch crowd and didn’t have to wait in line for forever like yesterday at Hakuna Matata. The thing I liked most about this place was that it was a “go down the line and pick up what you want” sort of layout.
While the line/food service part was more marvel super hero themed area they have a huge seating area dedicated to pirates.
I got the classic paris thing to do, croque-monsieur and Brittany went with the pasta option. But the real winner of the meal was the cheesecake. 10 out of 10 recommend
After lunch we walked around this area of the park and what we learned was this park was very small and it made sense when people called it the “half day” park.
Before we tried tackling Rockin Rollercoaster we decided to reflect on what we use to have back in WDW, The Backlot Tour. First off the weird thing was the entrance. They have 4 difference lines that you can choose from to enter the attraction. Pick the right one so you don't wait longer than you need too. Then it was back and forth, twisting turning through the queue.
We finally made it aboard our tram and before we headed off we got a nice view of a child waiting in line licking one of the metal handrails over and over again. delicious!
The backlot was not anything like ours and we were prepared for that. And while I thought WDW’s was sort of outdated this one was sort of the same way.
But it was nice to be reunited with Catastrophe Canyon and watch all the guests freak out over thinking that they would get drenched
The whole tram tour was going from Catastrophe Canyon to the set of London in ruins from the film Reign of Fire with a few random statues along the way.

After our tram ride we finally understood “you don’t know what you have until its gone”
Once leaving the Studio Tram Tour: Behind The Magic we strolled down Hollywood Boulevard.
When we found ourselves at the Art of Disney Animation I was so excited because I was so mad when Star Wars took over at WDW. I just want to learn to draw again!

Just joined in on this trip report and can't wait to read more! I am in the very beginning stages of planning a trip to Paris so it has been great to read about your experiences. That's awesome that you got to be there for the 25th anniversary too.

Its Not Nice To Laugh At Kids Crying
The waiting room was of old fashion moving picture making. You spin the wheel and watch the pictures come to life. Then you are ushered into the first theatre. There you watch Disney movie clips with disney music playing in the background. Some music is in french while others are in english and you play the guessing game of how they decide which ones on in which language.
Then after one theatre you move right into the next. However this one is a lot more familiar to me.
And since WDW is my home park I will always compare the other parks too it.
The Mushu show, a now non-existing attraction at Hollywood Studios. The sad thing about this was that we had finally come full circle and this time we were the foreigners with the headphones. But lucky for us the whole the mouths matched up with our words because they were actually talking in english when recorded.
After the Mushu show we entered the main art of animation room which just so happened to hold my favorite animation academy class.
This is one thing I am still bitter about that WDW got rid of.
We quickly jumped in line because this class didn’t hold many people and I didn’t want to have to wait forever to draw. This one wasn’t in a separate room like the one at WDW and was out in the open for all the people in line to see and judge how you draw. The group before us drew Mickey, which could mean 2 things they could always teach how to draw Mickey in every class they do or it could just be random characters based on who they teacher was.
We got our own little mickey light table and found out we were going to be drawing Olaf…not my first choice of character to draw but its not like we could turn back now. The one thing I did not like about this was that I’m not all to sure if our teacher for the day could actually draw Olaf because he had the picture of Olaf behind his paper and basically traced it. And while I don’t honestly care if he can draw the hard part for me was when he would draw the guided lines and circles I could see the whole outcome and it made me confused.
Overall 10 out of 10 recommended! And at least I know I can come back to Paris to draw.
Before we left the animation building we browsed through the little shop where we found a very pricey miss potts
We still had time to kill before tower of terror so we headed back to Rockin Rollercoaster.

We did wait about a half hour and somehow the topic of Ed Shereen’s knew album came up. I think Brittany just randomly broke out into Nancy Mulligan (which would later be a song we would always break out into singing) and then it brought up the topic of this great album. And while I do love Nancy Mulligan my personal favorites would have to be Dive and How Would You Feel. This has been your PSA of Ed Shereen.
Back to RnR. I assumed I knew what this attraction would be like. Wait through the queue and watch the pre-show and get some back stage passes before riding off in our super stretch limo. But once we entered the recording studio we learned that there pre-show was not a show at all. We were very confused at to how short it was and them not giving us “backstage passes” to there show. In fact there was no back story and I was really disappointed.
This was nothing like WDW, yes it was a roller coaster in the dark. But there was no big glow in the dark signs but instead green laser lights. Not impressed. The track might be similar if not the same but there was nothing visual. Also a real bummer when there is not black light at the end because Brittany hates when I look over and make faces at her and here I couldn’t because it doesn’t add the creepy effect.
After RnR Brittany really wanted to see what the Armgeddon special effects show. Wasn’t something high on my list I needed to do but I was so glad that we did.
First thing you do is enter a room with a huge screen, here the CM discusses special effects in movies and what we are going to be experiencing on our “sound stage” This is when we realized how many different languages Disneyland Paris caters too because they had multiple screens flashing subtitles in different languages, something we aren’t all too familiar with in the states since we basically think everyone should just speak English when coming to WDW.
After this pre-show we are move to the set of the space ship. And like the attraction is called we run a few special effects. First there are a few fake cracked windows (tv screens) then a burst of fire shoots up from the middle and next thing I know the ground beneath us drops a little (something to beware of because the first time it happened my knees buckle and it was not fun) At the very end our whole space ship falls apart fire is shooting up in the middle while the floor is dropping again and we are getting sprayed with water. Now the attraction itself might not be the totally greatest thing, once its over and the lights go on thats when you look around and notice the outcome of it all. Every child in the room was in their mothers arms screaming and crying. And while it probably shouldn’t be funny Brittany and I were DYING LAUGHING!
Right before you exit they have buttons to rate this attraction Brittany probably hit the highest rating button about 5 times because of all the children’s reactions.

This studios definitely showed me how hollywood studios should beVery cool to see more detail of the studios. I didn't realize they had some of those no-longer-found-at-WDW attractions there. Ha, and that would totally be my kid freaking out at that crying kid attraction.
