Hey everyone, just a wee question i was hoping someone could answer for my upcoming trip on the 26th.

I've been reading about the closures and updates for the 20th anniversary and i have read that the castle stage is being taken down in preparation for dreams. Does anyone know when this starts?

it's been a little while since i've been to dlp so i'm not entirely sure about the position of the stage where they put on the shows!
all i can think about is trying to take photos of the castle and there being horrific 'works' going on in front of the castle, ruining the view!

hope someone can put my mind at rest!

its the hub stage (the big stage right in front of the Castle as you look from Main St usa) which is being removed. Work started this week, and there is green boarding all around that area now.

You'll still be able to take great photos from the sides and right in front of the Castle, just not from Main St until the hub stage has been completely removed.

The first time we went to DLRP the Castle was closed the whole time :scared1:. It didn't really bother me that much at the time, but having been now, I'd be devastated if it were closed when we were there again.

Some of the best shots of the Castle come from the sides ;)

Does anyone know how long it will take them to remove the hub?
An update on this as it is being done would be great?
Am hoping its all gone by the 30th when i go out there.
Thanks

Mid March is the only date I've seen mentioned anywhere for completion of the work.
We're also there at the end of Jan beginning of Feb but I'm not too worried about the work, I always thought the stage was an eyesore that totally spoiled the view of the castle and I'll be glad to see it gone.
As Elaine says you'll still be able to get fab castle shots, just not from straight up Main Street. :)

Edit - Just read that the satellite stage areas have already been removed only the central stage remains.
