If we can only choose between daytime or night view of pandora, which is better? Won't ride FoP, might do the river ride if have FP+ or the stand by line is not too long. Also, not necessary need to see ROL. Just want to check out the new land, walk around with our 2 DDs, 5 and 3.

Thank you.

I would choose both because they are very different experiences.I have pics of both day and night but they are too large to load here,I will see about getting them hosted.

If I had to pick one, I'd say nighttime. It just has a really cool vibe to it. Music, lighting, etc... Daytime is really neat too, don't get me wrong. But if I had to pick, I liked night better.

I'm traveling with a couple that has never been to WDW. We'll be at AK during the day, but I want them to see it at night as well, so making a quick after dark run over there. Pandora is completely different at night. It's incredibly beautiful. If it were me, I would try to see it twice..first during the day, and then a quick run over after dark..just to see the difference.

I would make seeing Pandora during the day and night a priority and would forgo something else. I would also make a point of seeing RoL at some point, maybe when the two little ones are not with you, it is worth seeing.

To choose one, I would choose to go at night so long as it suits your family's vacation rhythm. It's interesting to see it lighted at night.

some pics...hope this works

I preferred the look at night.

I wonder if that was because my 1st Pandora visit was at night?
It is completely different day vs night, so it is nice to see both.

Some think the river ride is close to the night experience, so a day visit with the river ride results in a small sample of both.

Sunset would be a good compromise. Then you'll get to see both day and night. The lights turn on before sunset.

I would do both if you can. You can see so many incredible details within the land during the say. I loved exploring it during the day. Night is a different animal. The lighting it great and new details not seen during the day appear.

Day. I think the hanging mountains, bridges and water features, and just the feeling that its a different world is more visible during the day.

At night - everyone loves the glowing lights - that's cool and the kids would love that, too. BUT - its pretty dark and I think getting the larger picture of the visuals is harder. Especially for little kids who tend to focus more on a singular feature here and there vs. the big picture. Teens and adults love night because I think it almost has an adult party atmosphere at night (but maybe that's because I was there super LATE?).

The details are stunning during the day.

The glowing effects are spectacular during the night.

If I had to choose, I would choose night. AK at night is really amazing, it's great to see AK open at night again. We really enjoyed the glowing effects, details and atmosphere at night.

Daytime Pandora and Nighttime Pandora are literally like two different experiences.

In the day you can really take in and observe the atmosphere. Truly feels like you're in a whole new world. Those floating mountains are just incredible. You're able to really notice all the small details about this land.

But nighttime is literally a glowing masterpiece (and my personal favorite). The light effects are like no other experience. Even the ground beneath you glows. I remember walking back at night with my jaw dropping and thinking "Wait, was this the same place that I was at a couple hours ago?" :rotfl: And again, you can take in even more details that you might haven't even noticed during the day.

Pandora is such a cool and different place. If you can do both, above all means: do it. But if one can only be done, nighttime Pandora (and AK) is highly recommended.
