Panda on Friendship

This has been quite a year for a lot of us. The trials and challenges have often seemed overwhelming. But through it all the love and caring of our friends have helped us through it.

This is a funny kind of thread but I felt it was one worth doing. So many of us have been helped and inspired by others on here and I felt that some of you might like the opportunity to thank someone publicly.

I want to first thank Margie, Funwalker. She has been raising her grandson and nursing her daughter and son-in-law who have been very ill. Her courage and goodness are limitless, God surely must be proud of this child of love and caring.

Connie, Steffwalks, thank you for keeping our team together. Your own world has been turned upside down, more than once and yet you are there for anyone who has needed you.

Vicky, BunnyFoo, you are like a beautiful little butterfly, bringing beauty and joy to those who know you and reaching out to others even when you are hurting yourself. You are such a love, don't ever change.

Kimmer, you are such a wonderful free spirit, your excitement for life is just awesome. I'm proud of what you have accomplished and proved to yourself.

Scott and Lynn, you guys are my light at the end of the tunnel. You lead the life I strive for. Always looking for the beauty, the joy and the goodness in this often ugly world.

Robert, brother, you climbed out of the situation that this economy meltdown caught you in. You were down but never out, when we have that next beer together in January it will be a toast to over coming and being there for each other.

Denise, you and your wonderful family have been a beacon of light. In this day and age of extended family it's so comforting to see a family like yours. Following, you, Mark, Miranda, Nick and Hope has been wonderful. It's comforting that families like yours are still out there.

Lily, Karen, John, Susie, Judy and the other's in your racing group. Although we don't talk a lot, I love following your exploits. I'll be seeing you guys at the races again soon.

I could go on and on here with all that y'all have meant to me over the years. Please if anyone else would like to thank someone, then do so.

Jeanne - You are wonderfully delightful, quick wit and warm and kind.

Margie - If only you lived closer, we could be the sisters that we are!

Dave what a nice thread, it has brought a tear to my eyes and a big smile to my face.

You I would like to thank for always believing in me even when I didn't outside of DH (Mike) you have been one of my biggest cheerleaders and support system.

I wish you nothing but joy, happiness and continued good health, I have always said you will make this world a healthier place one person at a time and I know you will.

Stacey, Liz, Lisa my email pals who are the best, they give you a kick in the a** when needed but more importantly a hug when they know you need one. Love you sisters!!!!

My Hakuna teamates, you guys all rock, I wish I could keep up with you all but you are all awesome people and thank you for being there when I come in to chat.

Tracy: One of my 3 amigos, always there when I need someone to chat with.

Of course the rest of the WISH team, this group is amazing, I came in here a few years ago, having not done any real activies since my high school days and I have completed a GOOFY MARATHON...who would have thought that, when I started I couldn't walk around my subdivision about 4K without huffing and puffing up a storm.

I'd say I have to thank everyone on the boards for making it such a fun and friendly place to come and share our stories and ask our questions. And for all the WISHers who make it out to the races and are cheering us on and giving us support.

I came from a very dysfunctional family, so the way that Nick and his family embraced me has been astounding. The amount of love and laughs we've had over the past years has been so helpful in healing. It's incredible, to me who couldn't depend on anyone but Dad, to see how they come together and help each other. I told my Dad that Denise has done more for me in the 9 years I've known her then my mom did in 19, and he wasn't surprised.
