There is lots of useful info and you can click on the live camera links to see ships go through the gatun locks, miraflores and centennial bridge. Then, click on each picture to see it bigger. People at the office saw me go through last month on the Brilliance of the Seas!

I'll have to check back during daylight hours! That was real neat though. I never knew how the locks worked and the examples they show are excellent! Now does that feel when you go thru there? Can you feel the ship being raised alot? Very interesting.

It feels kind of weird. On the big ship, you don't feel it at all. You just see the water raising you up. Our ship only went through the gatun locks and into gatun lake, so it was not a full transit. But, we had a Locks by Ferry excursion booked, so we got to go all the way through to the Pacific on a little ferry. On that boat, you could feel it. It was quite amazing being in this tiny ferry with a huge freighter right behind us as we went down the miraflores locks. We even got close enough to touch the sides.
