My teenagers brought Cards Against Humanity, regular playing cards, and Uno. We didn't infringe on their 18-21 group of friends for CAH. Mimi, Poppa, Mom, & Dad were cool to join for afternoon Uno which was a lot of fun. We played several afternoons in Diversions.
We loved the classic movie mornings. I only wish they did more.
My favorite of all shows was the Elton John tribute show. That guy was gooooood! Everyone in the audience was singing along, enjoying. It was great.
The crew talent show! When the deck crew (the guys in the yellow jumpsuits you see outside every day) came out full-band rockin the Guns-n-Roses I thought they were gonna bring down the joint. The audience went craaaaazy! They were so so good!
I was pretty burned out on the standard
DCL menus going into our WBPC. I've taken to ordering my own custom dinners: whatever the dinner salad is x2 + a lighter note steak cooked medium. I cut up the steak, dump it in the giant salad, drown it in whatever dressing they have, and it's dinner. I just can't eat all the heavy things day-in, day-out. I'm no fan of cruise desserts....yes, including the chocolate soufflé everyone goes so nutty over. Not something I enjoy. Our servers were really sweet and took to bringing me dishes of fresh berries. I thought that was sweet (literally!) and I enjoyed it.
Pretzels. Trust me. Afternoon pretzels are your friend.
I enjoyed early morning runs on deck 4. Great scenery. Saw lots of dolphin pods. The day we were in bigger swells was particularly fun because when the ship pitched down it felt like I was floating but then when it pitched up it was like I was carrying twice my weight. I really enjoyed being outside early.
