I wonder what the "hardest" night is to get ressies at Palos?

Rather than WHICH RESTAURANT to miss to go there, I was thinking of going there on the FORMAL night (which is, I think the 3rd night on Western) that way I'd only be in an "evening gown" once rather than twice....???????????

You don't need to wear an evening gown to Palo. If you wanted to go all dressed up, then that is great. If you thought you really had to dress up.....you really don't. Now before someone jumps all over me complaining about someone in Palo with jean cut offs, flip flops or a bathing suit coverup....I'm not talking about that. Just a nice going out to dinner dress and suit are perfectly acceptable. I didn't see anyone in there dressed formally on a non formal night of the cruise.:D

I have to say, there were only a handful of "gowns" on formal night on our 2/8/03 cruise, (and none in Palo). Lots of "dressy" shorter dresses and pantsuits with sequins, trim, etc. Not many tuxes either, many dark suits, and a few very sloppy couples (it stands out on formal night.)

I go for Palo ressies on the nights we "threepeat" a restuarant (two in each is enough.) I like the "special" theme nights, and would rather go to Palo on a "regular" night.

Dress code aside, I believe that the most popular night for Palo reservations on either the Eastern or Western is probably whichever night is "formal night," with "semi-formal night" as a close second. People have the perception that they have to get all dressed up to go to Palo, so why not "kill two birds with one stone."
