Wondering if I would be able to catch the early show of Seas the Adventure (listed as 6:30 start time- lasting 30 min) then pop into Palo around 7 for an abbrebviated meal (maybe just appetizers and a pasta) and still meet the kids toward the start of our late dining MDR at 8:15. Thoughts?

Sorry for posting a similar thread…hoping ti get people’s thoughts with a more specific title/text

I wouldn't schedule Palo for any earlier than 7:15 in this situation. Yes, you could have apps only (not a main dish) from 7:15 - 8:00 but it would be rushed. It wouldn't be worth it. Maybe let the kids enjoy one independent dinner? Treat it as a special opportunity for them? They can enjoy the freedom, and you can enjoy the full experience at Palo.

Thank you for your help! :) Normally I would feel the same (have sent them to MDR alone before) though it will be our first time on the Wish so we would really like to experience all 3 MDRs. It is also our first time sailing as Platinum so after spending all this money with DCL I’d love to be able to take advantage of our new Palo benefit.

Glad to hear you think it is appropriate to not have an entire meal at Palo. That was my biggest concern…

Oops- I wasn't being attentive enough to the thread title and didn't notice you were referring to the Wish. I've never sailed her so can't speak to the Palo experience on her. I imagine the timing situation would be similar, though. Be sure to explain your time constraints to your server when you do this.

I had three dinners at Palo this past Fantasy (one prebooked and two they 'offered' on my first night because of the amount of openings. My first one I used my platinum 45 dollars credit and did the scallops main and two desserts. The two other ones I had a main and a dessert and the third oen just a pizza, nobody told me there was a spending limit or whatever. If you wish to be out by a certain time you just tell your server and they'll make it happen

You are very lucky to get Palo on the Wish….lol I answered on the other thread.

Yes you can do it just tell your server you want to be fast to do this. Remember Palo on the Wish is a Steakhouse now not Italian.

We too didn’t want to miss a restaurant.

Honestly, There wouldn't be enough time. We sailed on the Wish 11/28 and by the time you'd get up there and get seated you would need to turn right around and leave again to get to the MDR.

Seas is advertised as 30 min but the Cruise director has to talk for 15 min before the show starts since its the first night. We started at 6:45 and were done with the show at 7:15. According to my pictures, we went to the Rose for Drinks after and it took about 10-15 min to get up there because we couldn't get a deck 12 Elevator and had to go to 11 and walk the stairs outside. By the time you'd get there you'd be lucky to make it at 7:30.

I'd say if you REALLY want to squeeze it in, look to go on Pirate night if you are on a 4 night or on another evening when there may be more time. The Palo staff when we were on board were very helpful. Maybe ask to be put on a waitlist for 6PM another night?

Seas the Adventure was my favorite of the shows on the Wish. Its possibly the best DCL original theatre production they have so I would encourage you not to miss that one if possible. If you have been to Palo before, the only difference here really is the theming in the restaurant.

No matter what you decide, Enjoy your trip!
