We are skipping Palo dinner this time. Does that mean I am also skipping the chocolate souffle? Can I get it at brunch?

It is not offered at brunch. You can ask your server or head server in the dining room if it's possible to have it delivered there one evening but keep in mind that it's not guaranteed that they will be able to order it for you. I've had servers get it for us and others that just said no right away. It doesn't hurt to ask tho.

Can you go to Palo bar and order drink and dessert? Is this allowed?

Sorry, this isn't permitted.

The soufle is made to order, so they will not serve it to you in the main dining rooms (1 person orders it and then word gets out!).

What you could do, is ask very, very, very nicely at guest services. Tell them that you have heard about it, but cant go to Palo for some reason and ask if they would be able to have one sent to your stateroom as room service. I know that this has happened before, but who knows if they will do it again.

we ate it there the first time, and it was soooo good!! on our second cruise, we had the opportunity to eat there again, and i was commenting to our waiter how good it was, and just mentioned that how i wish we can have our children taste it. we didn't even think of ordering one to go, but...our waiter (bless his heart!!), at the end of our dinner, had one packaged up for us to take back to our room so our 2 dss could try it!! the boys loved it!! so maybe it all depends on the waiter...needless to say, ours was fabulous!! :flower:

The DVC Member Magazine that comes to DVC Members always has a recipe and one month they had the chocolate souffle recipie from Palo's. I'm afraid to try and make it because if it comes out THAT good, I'd be making it (and eating it) all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Palo's Chocolate Souffle

Yield: 6 servings

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Ingredients

3 TB butter, plus more for greasing the souffle cups
6 TB sugar, plus more for dusting the souffle cups
1 cup milk
3 TB all-purpose flour
3 TB Dutch-processed cocoa
2 oz. (2/3 cup) semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, melted
4 eggs, separated

Instructions:
1. Preheat over to 350ºF. Set a full kettle of water on to boil.
2. Butter six 4-oz. souffle cups and coat with sugar; set aside.
3. Bring milk to boil in small saucepan. Meanwhile, melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and cocoa to the butter and beat with a whisk until it has a smooth, paste-like consistency. Reduce heat and cook for one minute.
4. Slowly add hot milk, whisking until smooth, then blend in melted chocolate. Let cool for five minutes, then stir in egg yolks.
5. Beat egg whites in separate bowl until frothy. Slowly add sugar, 1 TB at a time until glossy peaks form. Stir a heaping spoonful of egg whites into the chocolate, then fold in the remaining whites just until combined.

Oh this is NOT helping the will power to loose more weight BEFORE the cruise!

My impression is that they are trying to "stop' the souffle being brought to you at other dining venues. Probably another 'victim' of the internet. They could handle it when it was one or two a cruise, but then word got out and all the DIS board posters ovewhelmed them :)
