Hi Guys,
If you had to pick one, would it be Brunch or Dinner? We have never done either and would like some opinions. Thanks :scratchin

Brunch, hands down. I ate at both our last cruise, and brunch was the hands down winner. Now, don't get me wrong, dinner was great, but brunch was just better, IMO. If I could only choose one, it would be brunch for me every time.

How long is your cruise? Our last cruise was 4 days, and we decided to have dinner at Palo's on the last night so that we didn't miss any of the dining rooms. However, it felt kind of weird not eating with our tablemates on the last night.

On our upcoming 4-day cruise, we decided to try the brunch so that we don't miss any of the dinners.

Of course, if you're going on the 7-day cruise I don't think it really matters that much.

We love brunch!! we have 4 children and we all eat dinner together and the servers are always a pleasure and it is nice to see the children dressed and treated like a real person. we are a group of 20 this year sailing on 6/19 can't wait to see how they seat us. we hope not to make our servers  but the kids out number the adults we will see, :cool1: :cool1: enjoy your cruise LS

Brunch, I love it!
With my kids gone to the club most of the week, dinner is pretty much the only time we see them, so I don't like to skip that. Plus during Bruch, the sun is up, and the view from Palo is great.

If would could only pick one it would definately be brunch. definately!!

I actually would pick dinner over brunch at Palo. DH and I really enjoyed the brunch - the food was tasty, the service was great, and the views were spectacular but we're not usually big buffet / brunch fans (and I am a notoriously picky eater for health reasons, so even at a brunch like this my food selections were pretty limited).

Dinner, on the other hand, was a real WOW experience for us. It was very much along the lines of a fine dining experience on land... liesurely, extremely attentive service (more so than at brunch, and we had the same server at dinner that we had a brunch a few days earlier), romantic atmosphere, and food to die for. I'm sure we ate more food at dinner than we did at brunch and our server kept bringing us extra stuff to sample... yummmm!!!

If you can do both brunch and dinner, I say go for it. There's no better way to make up your mind than by experiencing it for yourself. And when we sail the Magic this October, we plan on doing both brunch and dinner at Palo again, but it's dinner we're really looking forward to! :teeth:

Another vote for brunch!

I regret that we didn't have the brunch the first time we sailed (we were new, were overwhelmed, and didn't know enough about it.)

DH easily chooses dinner over brunch, no contest. I have a harder time deciding, but I think that dinner wins for me, as well. At dinner, you can get the fabulous chocolate souffle. Also, I think there are more unique choices at dinner (things I definitely couldn't get at home) with the appetizers and entrees. Although, the brunch has crab legs and shrimp... Very tough decision! Check out the menus of both to help you decide...
:earsgirl:

On our seven day last September we did both brunch and dinner. While dinner was excellent and a great experience, the brunch was even better. If I had to choose just one, it would be brunch.

I too did both the brunch and dinner on the Magic. For my next cruise I will definately do the brunch again. I am a single parent and felt a bit out of place at dinner. If you have the chance to try both then you should do so.

I should have given reasons for my vote..

The dinner IS wonderful, though still not as great as brunch (just MHO.) However, if you do have the dinner, order TWO desserts, the chocolate souffle, and the tiramisu. I couldn't decide, so I had BOTH! (I was miserable afterwards, but it was worth it! LOL!) Also, the shrimp w/penne pasta was SUPERB!

NOW FOR THE BRUNCH! (The brunch should be required dining for everyone on board! :flower: )

The pizza was awesome! Don't pass it up! (This is available at the dinner too!) I wished it was available to order for room service. However, what's brought me back to Palo brunch is their superb lemon meringue pie (I've never had anything that even comes close to how HEAVENLY it is!) And another 'do not miss...' the STOLLEN with berries, jam and whipped cream. There's so much at the Palo brunch buffet that you won't see anywhere else on the cruise (and dinner too.) I'm sure others here, too, will post what 'not to miss' at the brunch. (But dinner's great too! Just don't miss Palo.)

We just did both. BRUNCH!!! If i had to do it all over again, I would only do brunch. I loved the dinner, but I thought the brunch with the chocolate covered strawberries was to die for. I love those, and I ate about 7 of them. and I didn't even feel guilty. All of us in our party of 6 felt the same way. My daughters 18, & 21 said they were sorry they ate at Palos for dinner. They are picky eaters, and didn't like the dinner food, but the liked the brunch. The liked the Pizza but that was about all.....
