Palm Harbor (Clearwater), FL hotel help

DH just found out he needs to attend a conference March 29-31 at Westin Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL. (Clearwater area) (Travel 3/28 - 4/1)

The conference info states that the resort is SOLD OUT - but they have a list of overflow hotels. What can anyone here tell me about cleanliness, updates, pool, area, restaurants for:

1. Hampton Inn and Suites (about two miles away from Westin Innisbrook)
Tarpon Springs, FL 34689

2. Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in TARPON SPRINGS (about 1 miles from Westin Innisbrook)

3. Best Western in Palm Harbor (about 1 miles from Westin Innisbrook)

I would probably do the Best Western, my next choice would be Hampton Inn

I just found this post because I am searching for info about the area and am planning to go to a conference at the Westin Innisbrook in mid-July. Now that your DH's has passed would you be able to share some details about the area?
Did you find a nice hotel?
What did you do for fun?
How far is it really from Clearwater/St. Pete and also Orlando?

I would love to stay on the beach instead of the Westin if it's convenient and try to squeeze in a mini-vacation while we're there, if possible whether by staying in the area or by getting to use our Sea World passes (and see the new Shamu show). I have heard that the Westin is nice although mainly a golf resort although they apparently have a nice pool w/ waterslide for kids. (My DD is 10) Any help or advice/info would be greatly appreciated OP or locals!! Strangely (though not suprisingly!) I have found out more about the Tarpon/Clearwater, et al. area here on the DIS than in all my searching of anything else online!
