I have a question that I'm hoping someone can answer for me:

On the morning our last day in the city we will be leaving our apartment for DLP but are wanting to go Versailles for the day before checking into the Sante Fe

does the Palace of Versailles have some where to store luggage? On the website it says "- Free left-luggage office for your stroller, backpacks, suitcases and umbrellas" but has anyone ever done or see someone else do it? I'd hate to show up with our full size suitcases and not have anywhere to store them. How secure is it? We wouldn't be traveling with a lot of expensive so we could just carry the few things we will have with us in a bag

Alternatively do you have any other suggestions on what we could do? Traveling from Paris to DLP to drop luggage then to/from Versailles seems like a lot travelling (this would all be done by train) and leaving the bags in the apartment wouldn't be feasible as it's in Arr 9 and I'm sure they prob have more renters coming in after us...we wouldn't be opposed to using a car service from the apt to DLP to drop bags if it would save us a LOT of time

Thanks

I'm not sure about Versailles.

An option depending upon where your hotel is might be to leave bags at the left luggage at one of the big Paris stations. We did this for the day at Gare du Nord and it wasn't expensive and was quite easy.

In second the train station. You'll most likely be passing through one anyway.

Is it possible to visit Versailles on another of your Paris days?

If not then I'd also suggest leaving your luggage at the train station in Paris which will mean a lot less hassle for you. The walk from Versailles train station is OK but once you approach the palace it's cobbles and will probably be an absolute nightmare pulling luggage.

I'd also advise buying your tickets to Versailles in advance and get there as early as you can (ie before official opening) as the security line will be bad enough - you don't want to have to stand in a further line to buy tickets.
