PAL Mickey

I've read about them on the American board, what exactly are they? Where do you get them from? They sound such great fun!

We have just returned from Florida and being big kids just had to have a Pal Mickey each, because they are new to the parks infact we got them on the day of release, although they had been available at the resort hotels, harldly anybody had one and I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, Pal Mickey constantly talking about the attractions in the parks or all the attention we got carrying them, not only from the park staff and characters but the people in the queues asking about him.....I found him quite useful and certainly entertaining, but after two weeks my girlfriend was getting a bit irritated as Mickey was constantly pinned to my ear listening

We loved our PAL Mickey we got lots of attention too especially from CM's asking how he was working out for us.

There's gonna be so much more that they can do with this concept in the future and the great thing is you won't have to buy a new one when they update you'll just go into one of the shops to have your PAL updated.

We also loved the cheesy jokes the Mickey tells - I tended to let him tell one when we were in a lift with others to make them all laugh

I wasn't aware that Pal Mickey could be updated, if this is the case it will be great, as hearing the same bit of info time and time again starts to become a little tiresome even if it is Mickey Mouse.... Where did you read about that? I believe there are going to be other characters available in the future.

I was told this in the shop where I bought him. Each shop has a file on how to do the update. Obviously there isn't much to update with yet - PALM already talks about Mission Space but as things change in the parks you should be able to get the new info uploaded at any of the shops where you can purchase a PAL.

My only criticism about PAL Mickey is that to get him to talk you have to press his hands and I can see these little white hands getting very very dirty

I also think it would be neat if they could get him to say goodbye to the park as you leave. I reckon soon they'll be add things like him telling you the hours of opening and stuff like that. There's so many things they can do with this little guy I can't wait
