Pal Mickey

Just wanted to add my $.02 on the Pal Mickey, we used him last week and fell in love with him! He's so much fun and we had no trouble at all him with him not working or not knowing where he was. We thought he was one of the best things that Disney has come up with in a while as far as souvenirs go! Who wouldn't want one of these? He was our first official Disney purchase (we picked him up after we checked in at our resort) and he went everywhere with us after that. We didn't want to wear him on our belts as suggested so we came up with the idea to buy one of the bottle straps that the street vendors sell and clipped him there. This turned out to be a great idea as he doesn't speak very loudly so you sometimes need to hold him to your ear and it was easier to do that wearing him around your neck. DH wore him and got so much attention from every CM that we saw. They seem to be very impressed with him as well. While waiting for the boat at the Boardwalk one of the Housekeeping CM's came up to us asking questions about him and told us that he had to get one. He was well worth the $50.00! If anyone has any questions, please let me know.

Does he work in every park?

Maybe you can settle this one -- did he ever give you any up-to-date park information, specifically ride wait times? I've heard that he gives parade times.

I'm guessing he doesn't, since it seems he's only updated once, when you enter the parks.

That would be such a cool feature!!

Dizney_Mania18 - We were not in the parks at the time of parades so I don't know if he says anything about the times for that but I also have heard that he does. He never gave us wait times for anything but the lines were all short while we were there so that might be why. I am anxious to see what he'll be able to do in the future. My understanding is that you get him updated on future trips but it's truly amazing to listen to him and to know that he knows exactly where he is!
