Pal Mickey what is he? Also headphones or wax for littleones ears?

What is a pal micky? Would he be good for a 2 1/2 year old? If not what about for adults? Also does anyone have any suggestions for little ones who get freeked out by loud noises? I am worried about some of the rides. Ear wax or some type of head set?

Our DD age 9 is still having problems with loud noises. We tried Mack's ear plugs for kids (bright orange wax balls that cover the outside of ear) and Quiet Please! foam ear plug (that actually go partway inside) and she still heard the fireworks. I think they'd work fine for rides but if fireworks are a problem try to be out of the park BEFORE they start.

Small World was the only ride we could find that was long enough and running during the fireworks at MK. Spaceship Earth is long enough at Epcot if it's running.

My DS11 has Asperger's Syndrome and still has problems with loud, unexpected noises. He used to hate fireworks but now he is OK with them because he knows the noises are coming. There are some noise-blocking headphones you can buy (not sure of brandnames but you could probably do an on-line search). The other thing that might help is to have her listen to a music or story CD on headphones. This might help to block out some of the noise and give her something she likes to concentrate on. Of course, you could always plan to leave the parks before the fireworks. She's still very young and might just need more time to get used to these things.
