Pal Mickey in a backpack?

I'm debating whether to carry a shoulder bag or a backpack in the parks. We don't have a lot to carry (no kids, just the two of us) so we'll have my camera, Passporter pockets, ID, and my cell phone in the bag.

I'm wondering how well Pal Mickey works in a light backpack (so it's easy to get on and off your back). Has anyone carried him that way?

Thanks!

If you're asking about carrying him IN the backpack, I believe they're light sensitive and won't talk in the dark. Also, the one that I tried for a day was so quiet I missed his comments half the time, and that was carrying him!

I don't think he'll work being carried in a backpack. He has to be out w/his nose facing forward. But a backpack is a great place to put him when you're on rides where you can't hold him, like the various roller coasters and thrill rides. He does work in the dark, though. He started shaking on the Haunted Mansion when I was holding him on my lap--I don't know what he was going to say, though. Probably a joke.

I carry him on my backpack. I have one of those bottle holders on him. The loop is under his arms. I tie the strap to the top loop on the top of the back pack. I just make sure I face him forward when we walk through the gates. He faces backwards but I feel him vibrate and pull him up to my ear if I want to listen to him. I just stuff him in the backpack on the wet rides.

Maybe he was shivering because he was scared of the ghosts. :)

He shook for us in the HM also - we rode many times on our last trip - he didn't have anything to say - I also think he was just scared!
