in your area to have someone paint a bathroom. Its not a huge bathroom but it is large....just an estimate would be fine. We started painting our bathroom and it is looking awful...LOL! I'm tired of it and John is tired of it so we said what the hell we will call a painter but just trying to get an idea.

Why does it look bad?

We always paint our rooms on our own.
I don't know how much it would cost to have someone come in, but if you have cathedral ceilings it could be costly.

Oh wait...you said in a bathroom. Not sure...could not be that expensive.

It looks awful! I'm getting it on the tile LOL! I think we both just got annoyed to quickly. We are going from white to a dark dark blue and its going to take at least 3 layers even with the Kiltz. We just thought if it woldn't be but a couple hundred dollars it would be worth it...LOL!

Oh Geez,
I wish I could tell you. It shouldn't be more than that.

When we moved in our house it was new, and we didn't buy it right away, we rented it. We went through the house with a fine tooth comb, and found paint on both bathroom floors and in one tub.
So, don't despair even the experts drip paint!!!

Sorry, prob. something you did not want to hear;)

Good luck finding a painter.

Beth, most painters will give a free estimate...call a couple painters tomorrow.

We were going to have our family room (which has a cathedral ceiling) painted last summer & the lowest estimate we got was $700 but I think that all depends on the size of the room, how much taping they have to do & what part of the country you live in!

Good luck! Dark dark blue, huh? You are bold girl! ;)

Well its actually going to be dark blue with light blue and just a tad bit of pin sponging....the sponging I can do its getting the base coat on that drives me insane!

I painted our upstairs bathroom recently and it looked horrible after the first coat. I was painting it a dark purple and I had some doubts. After the 3rd coat it looked really nice. :) I know that sounds like lots but the 1st coat was the worst. I sponge painted two later shades over it and it has come out nice.

The only things I wish I'd stopped to do different is a little more patching. There are a few places where the paint is a little uneven.

Don't worry about paint on the tile. If it's latex paint it will come off very easily, even a scrub brush will do it.

janette that made me feel lots better, I am going to try to do it myself, I have to get more paint but I will know by tomorrow!

Purple huh, any pictures? I love bold colors.

I'm still working on a few things, I'll have to post some before and after pics after I'm done. It is very purple!
