Paid off!!!!

We just paid off our Disney Chase Credit Card!!!!! (With our tax refund)

In the next three months, we will be paying off about 75% of the rest of our credit card debt!!! I just got my old job back (I had been laid off since November 2008), and with the way my current employer does payroll, I'll get paid for a month and a half after I leave. So I'll have a few extra paychecks....not to mention this month has a third paycheck, so with all that extra $$$, we're paying off the rest of our credit cards except for the Discover Card...we'll pay that down and then concentrate on paying it off over the Summer.

AND....we have cash set aside for our September vacation. You may ask why we are not using that to pay down the credit cards more...well that's simple. We don't want to use ALL of our cash to pay down / pay off the credit cards and then have to turn around and put our vacation on the credit card. If we do that, then our spending will get out of hand on vacation and we'll be back in credit card debt again. Make sense?

Anyway, had to share our excitement with someone and I chose the DISboards!!

Thanks!!! Yes, it IS a wonderful feeling! DH was sitting at the computer making the payment and he "invited" me over to the computer so I could watch him click "Make Payment". When our payment confirmation number appeared on the screen we both yelled "Woo-hoo!"

I would say it doesn't take much to get us excited, but paying off a credit card IS a big deal!!!

We are now in "pay-off" mode....so every extra bit of money we get will go to pay off our cc's. Then we'll just have the house and car payments! Oh and our monthly DVC dues payments. That's another thing...the DVC loan will be paid in THREE months!!!!!
