Paid a deposit but no money taken!

Hi all,

So excited, booked my first trip to WDW after years of visiting DL California!

I booked last week on Wednesday (US website for the free dining) and paid the $200 immediately. I can see it pending at my bank but no money has been taken yet! All other transactions I made at the weekend have already processed through my bank!

Has anyone has any problems booking on the US site or is this completely normal?!

We paid on Friday and ours is still pending too. From the email confirmation, it says can take from 3-5 working days to process so I'm hoping ours will be processed by the weekend. I'd imagine with you that it may be done tomorrow or Friday.

I'll be contacting them if it's not been in a couple of weeks

Yes. You are booking totally different deals in a completely different currency!

Has your payment gone through now? When i checked ours at the weekend, it seems to have gone through now for us

Some of the more experienced Dis members will offer a better reply than me, but I think at the moment the US site has free dining for stays during certain dates for this year. The US sites also offers discounted room rates depending on the resort, and I believe are offered a few months before arrival date. But the prices are dependant on the US/UK exchange rate.

As its your first trip & you are travelling in 2017, you are probably best to book the UK package via the UK site

Thanks for that! I had a look and there's nothing out for 2017 yet? Lol. Will be booking on UK site now I've been on it.. too confusing for someone like me
