I know you are down and I thought you can use a smile. I see you are planning a WDW wedding and it is in less then 8 months.
As you can see by my ticker it takes me longer to plan a trip there let alone a weddding :rotfl:
Tell your dis friends the details! :cheer2:

I'm here :wave2:

Things are just a little nuts now. We just bought a new house a few weeks ago, are in the process of moving in, doing graduate school, and right now I'm trying to console my sis who just lost her best friend.

As far as the wedding, its really not all that hard to plan since Disney pretty much does it all. That is, except for our lodging and our guests'. But, on the other hand I'm not doing one of those huge 150 person weddings. Mine is an intimate and I'm only having 18 guests. Everyone with Disney is very helpful and they've been keeping in close contact through email. I've already bought the dress, shoes, and tiara. However, I still haven't picked colors, a veil, where we will stay, where to send our guests, where to eat afterward, or how to design the invitations.

I don't know what I'd do if I was one of those huge weddings that disney calls "custom"! There are some girls on the weddings board that eat, sleep, and breathe it because they are so busy trying to plan. They have a whole lot more to do than me because they have to pick menus, entertainment, music, reception locations, etc, etc, etc.

Thanks for brightening my day! I feel better now :teeth:

I love your attitude my dear!!! Enjoy this!

Awww thanks

I really am having fun, regardless of the stress. I'm not so sure how much fun I'd be having if I had to plan more than that though. Right now things are really exciting with all these big changes, but it will be nice when life returns to "normal." ;)

Ooh, a Disney wedding. How exciting!! Truthfully, I think small intimate weddings are so much better than large weddings. Just my opinion. Congratulations!

I have to tell you, you look exactly like my ex-SIL. I swear it's her every time I see your posts. :rotfl:

I've had a lot of people PM me and say that I remind them of different people. I had 2 of them swear up and down that they thought I was Resse Witherspoon's long lost sister :confused3

Hey I demand the link to the dress!!!

Psst, How was that?

Eh, she's fine. She's on tough cookie. New houses are stressful for anybody but she's handling it like a pro :)

Will be thinking about you later this week babe cuz... We're in Disney World! So excited for Katie's wedding, too! :cool1:

You guys have a blast, take lots of pics and be safe! I'm soooooooo jealous ;)

Thanks! I love that dress  We finally figured a way to keep the train on and I found tall enough shoes to get it off the ground. We haven't even thought about what he will wear. Since its a morning intimate wedding a traditional black and white tux seems a little over kill, but I don't really know what would look good :confused3

I don't think the tux would be too much :confused3

My folks said the same thing. I've been looking at the slew of intimate wedding pics on the weddings board. It seems like a lot of couples are going with pastel vests and neck ties rather than the plain black and white tux and bowtie. I do like the look of the traditional tux. I'd love to go with it if it didn't seem overly formal for the event. Maybe I'll just have my DF wear that after all. It would sure be cheaper and easier to find. ;)

I think 15 years down the road you will be happier with the classic look of the tux. The pastels may look outdated, know what I mean?

I know exactly what you mean. When I first started shopping for a dress I was really intrested in the new style where a large splash of color is on the front and back. (Those dresses that are all white except for navy blue or burgundy embroidery on the bottom of the dress and all the way down the train.) When I showed the pics of the dress to my sis she shook her head and said "I wouldn't buy that unless 20 years down the road you want to show your kids the pictures of your wedding and they're laughing hysterically as if you had poofy sleeves and a halo veil from the 80s."

I think she was right so I quit with those dresses ASAP. She also said that she'd go with the classic tux, I guess I'm not as up with fashion sense as you guys ;)

Uh oh............you didn't happen to ever wear poofy sleeves did you? :scared:
