Hey Donna, how the heck are you? Great to see you here again. You come by so seldom now, not like the 'old days'. I still remember your story about your parasailing. So funny. Fun times back then, like 25 years ago. Pick out some good restaurants for your trip, there are so many. Make sure to not overlook the Swan, Dolphin and Reserve, so many good one there. Are you celebrating anything special while there, a special trip? Haha, I sound like the host in a restaurant.

My kids grew up. We switched to cruising. Now do rare trips with them and grandkids. That’s what we are doing win January. But this time my DIL invited her parents. So ressies for 8 instead of 6…going to be harder. He will def be on a scooter and she probably will be. He spits when he talks, he’s loud and complains a lot. My son is having a cow.
I miss the old days. So many have passed on.
I still stay in touch with Brent, Tony (TVolTony), Carol and Chris from Chicago.
Often wonder what became of WillyJ, CharlieNJ and Doc.
I remember Charlie telling a story of a family sitting on the steps of Main Street eating a can of corn. Are the vegetarians? Did the bring their own can opener or go to guest services?

I very much remember Charlie’s can of corn story. I also remember when we decided that lime green was the “official “ color for DISers to wear to identify each other. Did you go to DISCon in 2002 ?

I miss NancyIL, I wonder how she is.

For dining reservations, try for two tables for 4 each rather than one table for 8. Should be much easier. And then at the restaurant, ask if they can accommodate putting you together. The CM's are generally very good with working with you and putting you together. Spit back Your son's father-in-law sounds like doosie.

Those 'old days' were indeed fun. So many evenings and late nights here. We used to regularly do 7 pages of new posts on the CB every day. Now, hard to break 1 page. Great memories, Donna. Please say hello to those whom you still are in contact with. I know many are on FB which I don't do. Every so often folks encourage me to join up on their FB's. I have not.

Willy, who reincarnated some years ago as @King Schultz here, disappeared shortly after his mom passed away, 5 or 6 years ago. I have emailed him, PM's him, called him on the phone. Zero, no contact. Still concerned.

@charlie.nj still pops in periodically, maybe a few times a year. And not Tom Morrow.

Hey, it's Linda again. Two times in as many weeks! The lime green days. I had ribbons for a number of my early 2000's trips.

DISCon, the first one, was great. So many folks from here, having a great time. A bit too much infighting with the 2nd one. But still worked out okay. With the significant changes here in the past 15 months, a much more relaxed feeling of the old days seems back. @WebmasterCorey seems to have steered the boards well over this recent period of time.

Let's see if we can find Nancy again. Oh, @NancyIL, where are you? You are being paged.

Hey! I forgot about the lime green! No I never went to DisCon. That corn story…much laughter in chat over that one! Our last trip of that era was 2001. Then I went with a friend in 2007. Next trip was not until 2014. Then 2022 and this January. Coming January. Then it might be a while again.

I do think it was creamed.

I don’t remember the whole Doc name. He was a dentist and actually helped me get a peer review started on a dentist who did extensive bridge work on my son’s teeth that failed. (He was congenitally missing 11 permanent teeth…while common in my family, he won the contest)
