Is there a discussion regarding a packing list for traveling with a 4 year old. We do not fly to the parks since we are only a 2.5 hr drive away. Need some tips/advise on what to pack in our park bag.

What are you looking for specifically? Things for the car or to preoccupy during lines? A general list?

I'm in the "only bringing things i can lose" camps. So snacks, those take and toss sippy cups. sunblock, hat, maybe a poncho for rain?

Yea I agree. Change of clothes needed also. Power banks for phones.

Seems like every time we go we forget something. Last time it was her utensils to eat since those in the park ate too big for her.

I'm part of unless they need diapers you don't need to carry anything camp.

I have traveled to WDW with kids from two to adult and I quit carrying anything other than a small cross body bag once they were out of diapers. If I need something while in the parks, I can buy it. I've gone multiple times and this is just the point I'm at.

If it rains, they sell ponchos. I sometimes have ponchos in our suitcases and it if is obviously raining when we leave the hotel will go ahead and bring them.
If the kids are thirsty, they sell drinks. Once my kids were past the bottle stage they could drink out of a straw.
If the kids are hungry, they sell snacks. And what kid doesn't want Mickey head ice cream.
If the kid has explosive diarrhea (happened once during the diaper stage), they sell clothes.

If you start making a list you can end up with a huge bag ... common items would be ponchos, sunscreen, water bottles, snacks, band aids, Pepto, Motrin, large cameras, cell phone chargers (I just use a Morphi), change of clothes, sunglasses, hats, lip balm / chapstick.

Yes!!! When we do adult night, I take a wristlet or my pin purse. It carries my ID, $20, AP/DVC/TiW card, and my phone.

With the kids, it's ponchos and snacks - little bags of trail mix or whatnot, for munching in line. Our youngest will be out of diapers soon, and I can't wait!!

It is a constant struggle, however, with DH. He wants to bring extra sunscreen, sunglasses, hats... I'm like, if the kids are refusing to wear them as we leave, they're not going to put them on later.

Apparently the girl scout motto of be prepared really stuck in my head because I guess I take a lot with me. I bring a sunscreen stick, hat and sunglasses for my ghostly white redheaded children. I have 12 oz refillable leak proof water bottle. I also bring some snacks like goldfish or pretzels in small Tupperware containers. Then there are the emergency fruit snacks that prevent hangry meltdowns. If we are going to let them play in the water (Casey Jr. splash area) I would bring their water shoes. Everything, minus the water shoes, fits in my Vera Bradley hipster along with my wallet, lip balm and sunglasses.

I always bring handi-wipes for sticky hands, empty ziplock baggies for unfinished snacks they insist be saved for later or for wet clothes, something to occupy them during waits and hand sanitizer to prevent the Disney flu.
