Packing up and such..

Not fun, but it has to be done.. (Unless I can figure out how to put wheels on this place - LOL..) Anyone want to come and help?

Trying to be very methodical - fairly specific on the labels on the totes and boxes so it will be easier to unpack once I get to DD's..

Weather wise, it looks like I "could" hold out until my Dec.1st target date - but that falls on a Wednesday, so I don't think it would be too convenient for my Dson-in-law (although I'm sure he would do it) - and someone else would have to come along with him to drive my van down since I can't see to drive at night..

I've been resting in between packing - reading some "new" (used) books that were delivered recently - so at some point I'll be updating my book list on here for those who are interested and those who have PM'd me..

Decided to take a break this morning - still scouring the interenet for that medication - and I think I may be on to something.. One company has their distribution center in Canada and the gentleman I talked to will be contacting the distribution center directly to see if in fact they have the tablets (that are advertised on their web site) and said he will call me back when he has that info.. Saying my prayers and keeping my fingers crossed.. If they have the tablets, they also have a sale going on now - buy one get one half price - a huge savings - plus another discount promo they sent me via email after I contacted them..

Off to see what's been happening here while I've been busy with other things..

Ahhhh, we're not getting any younger C.Ann and me thinks you need to make your move easier with doubles of everything (other than food), so no packing would be involved ! For years we enjoyed watching each of our 6 local grands till they started prechool or KG - we had doubles of everything here . All we needed was our sweet grand traveling back and forth . Good luck with your move!

I agree with the idea of duplicates of everything. Have your kids start buying stuff for you as Christmas presents.

I would love to help...but think I am a tad too far away.

We have dups at both houses. If you can do that, it works great....but clothes and hobby stuff makes it harder.

Ummm.. I may have to pick up the pace on packing a little.. Didn't realize till I talked to DD a couple of hours ago that today is Friday.. For some reason I thought it was Wednesday!!

From my long range weather report I looked at a little while ago, I guess I better not fool around and try to stick it out till Dec. 1st.. Looks like I'm going home the Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving.. I really hate leaving here..

But......I'll be back with the family - and my DGD - so that's something to look forward to.. December will go by fast with all of the holiday happenings , so that's a plus..

Now I just have to remember this coming Monday is Monday - because I need to notify the Post Office to start forwarding my mail as of the following day because sometimes it takes awhile before it gets straightened out.. This way I'll have until the day I leave to keep checking the mail box "just in case"..

As for the "doubles" suggestions, I've slowly been doing that over the years - and I'm going to try to leave even more behind this year - but as someone mentioned, that's not easy to do when it's my hobby stuff; things that will freeze; and certain items that are just too darn expensive to purchase doubles of.. I'm going to try really hard though to leave more behind this year..
