Ok i'm starting to buy the spring clothes i find on clearanced out, ect. and i'm starting to wonder... how much do i need to take, we have been to disney many times before but every time we've always had a washer and dryer in our resort room, this time we are staying on property so no w/d... we are staying for 7 nights 8 days staying a night on the way down, then after 7 nights in disney we are driving on down to Cape Coral to stay with DH's brother for 2 nights 3 days and driving home stay 1 night! did you get all that! LOL i'm sure DSIL would let me do laundry at thier condo (i better email to see if they have one or if they have a laundry mat... humm). How many out fits per kid would you take? how many PJs, usally we try to take a bath every NIGHT after the parks so the kids will be going PJs clean! LOL and it's easier for me and dh to only have to shower in the AM. Also DDs will be doing BBB so we will be buying dresses there for one day but of course they still have to wear clothes to the park! LOL HELP i think i'm over thinking it all!

If I got that right, you'll be gone 11 days - so I'd pack 12 outfits per child. That's what I'd do - BUT, there are laundry machines on site. So you don't neccessarily need to go and pack 12 outfits per kid! I'm just thinking that's a lot of clothes!!! I hadn't thought about it, but we're staying 10 days - and I'll have 3 kids by that point! I do not want to be packing 30 outfits! Thank you - you just made up MY mind to make sure we do laundry down there. I've never been on property before, so I don't know how much the machines cost. Anyone know?

I was thinking i read they were $2 to wash and $2 for 30 min of dry time... so it's probably be $6 a load (60 min dry to get them dry).... plus the 2 hour to wash/dry .... heck that is a TON of clothes!

Pop's laundry was right by the pool and food court--I could easily do wash and dry while at pool for 2 hours or during dinner--I saw no reason to stay by my wash the whole time, and didn't. I would assume all WDW hotels have a similar set up.
If so, plan to wash mid-trip and end of trip at WDW (or at SIL)--5 outfits gets you thru that many days just fine. I would take 2 pairs PJs.

The van we are taking is a stow n go so we will have tons of room i think... we plan to take food w/ us as well though to keep from having to get to much from the store when we get there.... hummm i can't remember how many we took last year i was thinking it was 6 out fits each.

bumping up to see if anyone eles has suggestions... where the laundry located at Port Orleans Riverside??? Thanks!

The laundry at POR is by the quiet pools, I know for sure there is 1 on the Mansions side and 1 in Alligator Bayou section.

What I learned from our trip in Sept 07 was that you can find lots of shirts for little ones but not so much shorts/pants department.
So, an option would be to take enough for your time in the parks plus just a couple days to get you to your family's house - bring a couple extra bottoms and if you need shirts.....get some soveniers. Then you could plan on doing laundry at your family's house.
Just an option - I see you have 3 little ones so that could get expensive - a little easier for me with just one!
I have heard stories of people having a frustrating time doing laundry with money getting eaten by the machine etc.
I don't know, if I had to do laundry of course I would but...just the idea of doing laundry on vacation doesn't sound like any fun! :goodvibes

This is exactly how i feel!!!! I love doing laundry really call me crazy then again i have a great LG front loader set that are great! LOL i don't think disney laundry will be quite the same feeling as my warm yellow laundry room has! :roltfl:

I think i'll try a test pack some time and see if i can get the 2 of the kids clothes in one suit case then me and the other child in another and then that will leave dh will a case and another for bathroom stuff, and then a box with snacks/b'fast foods. bag or two of stuff to do on the way down... humm what eles could i be forgetting... ??? As for buying clothes i just ordered me and the kids some t-shrits and stuff of disneyshopping for the trip much better prices w/ the 50% of then i'd ever find at the world! LOL but still i know we all end up buying stuff too!
